Waddup, waddup. Everything's going good with me, I think.
So I got my results. Hmm, not what I expected - not at all. I expected so much more from myself. But I guess I did well enough - a high second-upper average. I could've done better, for sure. I really expected a first-class average, especially for the amount of effort I put in through the academic year. Oh well. I don't wanna think about this now. Up and on.
Anyways, so far, I love my internship. I get a real high buzzing around the office printing stuff, replying to a gazillion e-mails and attending meetings with like a million agencies. So far so good. But hey, guess I just jinxed it by saying that. Check back in a week or two and we'll see.
Monday was my 22nd birthday. Had lunch at Tampines Ding Tai Fung with my family last Sunday, and then it was dinner at Wheelock NYDC with my two close friends - Pei Wei and Pokey. Simple things like that make me happy. I was stuck in the office on my birthday itself, but hey, I'm not complaining. On top of all that, my London mates threw me a nice little surprise over lunch on Thursday. They came down to the Clarke Quay area from where they are variously doing their internships. Fish and chips for lunch and a nice cake. It really is the thought that counts. And finally, dinner at Paragon Sushi Tei last night. Shumin and I usually celebrate our birthdays together, since she was born like only four days after me. I think this is the tenth time I've celebrated my birthday with my bunch of closest friends. Love 'em.
Shumin and I - Green tea cake from Breadtalk. No, we're not ten.
Finally, some photos from a dinner late in June or July, around a week after my return - albeit temporary - to Singapore. My good 'ol friends welcoming me back from Londontown.
Ding Tai Fung at Paragon. LOL, yes, I've been to Ding Tai Fung twice since I came back. Enough for now. From left, top row: Kaiying, Zhiwei, Beirong, Shumin, Winnie and from left, bottom row: Michelle, yours truly, Wanhui, Serene and Jingyi.
