STEEL MAGNOLIAS
CAST OF CHARACTERS:
Truvy Jones (age 40 - 50). Owner of the beauty shop. Knows everyone and everything in town. Strong maternal qualities. "There is no such thing as natural beauty."
Anelle Dupuy-Desoto (age 19, or so) Beauty shop assistant. New girl in town, on the shy side. She has a secret. "There's nothing to tell. I live here. I've got a job. That's all."
Clairee Belcher (age 65, or so) Widow of former town mayor. A grand dame with attitude. "If you don't have anything nice to say about anybody, come sit by me."
Shelby Eatenten-Latcherie (age 25 or so) Prettiest girl in town. Shes as strong- willed as she is attractive. "Then we went skinny-dipping and did things that frightened the fish."
MLynn Eatenen (age 50, or so) Shelby's mother. Socially prominent career woman. Very much like her daughter, she's used to having all the answers. "Maybe it's about time I had an emotional outburst."
Ouiser (pronounced "Weezer") Boudreaux (age 65, or so) Wealthy curmudgeon. Acerbic, loveable, does not hesitate to speak her mind. "You are a pig from hell."
