Summary: Yuzu takes Jinta up on his invitation (via email) to come down to the coffee shop and try some new drinks. Of course this would have to happen on the one day Karin isn’t there….
Yuzu skipped merrily down the hallway and out the front door of the Archives & Research Building, and across the street to the Seireitei Coffee House, swinging her umbrella back and forth by its string. It had not yet begun to rain, but she had brought the umbrella as a precaution. She did not want to get caught in the rain on the way back to the medical department; she had just recently bought a new purse (after her old one had fallen apart), and she did not want it to get wet. To tell the truth, she had not planned on taking much of a break today, nor had she planned on leaving the building to take her break, but Jinta’s mentioning of new drinks at the café had been too enticing to pass up. Being somewhat of a budding chef, Yuzu was always willing to try new food, even when other people were not. And on a hot day like today, nothing sounded better than a nice, cool drink in a brand-new flavor.
She pushed open the door to the coffee house and looked around. It was a bit of a shame that Karin was not here-Yuzu had not been down to visit the coffee house in a long while-but she was sure her sister was having the time of her life at the concert. She walked up and joined the line at the counter, her eyes on the menu. Apparently the coffee shop had stocked quite a few new drinks for the summer. This was going to be difficult-which one should she try first? She pursed her lips in thought, her head tilting to one side.
Only when it was her turn to order did she look to see who was behind the counter. Upon seeing that it was Jinta, she immediately greeted him with one of her winning, sunshine-bright smiles.
“Which one of your new summer flavors would you recommend, Jinta-kun?” she asked brightly.
