He really should have stayed at home today given how shitty he was feeling but Ma called with some news about the Bastard and ruined his plans. He didn't want to be at home with nothing to do and feeling all restless. That kind of combination was full of disaster, especially when he has been feeling usually unbalanced already. It would result in whatever happened the other night. Which was, as the whole company probably knew already, a giant affair with massive amounts of alcohol, brawling, and subsequent jail time. Besides, Ma would probably catch wind that he was at home and try to assassinate him with more of her stupid reasons.
Not good. Not fucking good at all.
And so he trudged through the door with a ferocious frown on his face that was so intense that some wrinkles reached all the way up to his naked cranium. He had discoloration under his eyes from the lack of sleep, a wonderful smattering of blue and black all over his cheekbones and jaw, and an incessant headache. He was sore, dehydrated, and tired.
So it was no surprise that Ikkaku was not looking where he was going. He was staring at carpet, carpet, carpet, and then suit. Luckily, the running into was not one of epic proportions where both parties would go flying ten feet away in opposite directions. His stomach could barely handle the sight jostling that took place instead.
"Sorry." Ikkaku mumbled,grimacing and blinking his eyes as his body resituated itself.
