Kisuke poked his head out of his back office and peered into the coffee shop. Everything seemed to be in order. Ok, he had to admit Kuukaku was being a little more dazed than usual, in that she wasn't flying around shouting at people but instead was looking at the clock quite intently... but it was a Friday afternoon after all, that was hardly surprising. She was probably just counting down the time to get off for the weekend. Kisuke gave an inner smile and cast a glance over to Karin. Whatever was said between them seemed to have not had the worst effect, for there she was still serving customers with her usual scowl, a facial expression that both Ichigo and Karin seemed to have inherited (though from whom, Kisuke wasn't quite sure).
Looks like it was a perfect time for a break. He disappeared into the cardboard city and returned with a packet of tobacco, patting at his pockets to check his other smoking apparatus were there and present. Satisfied that he had everything he crossed the coffee house swiftly, moved into the outdoors and turned into the employee garden, which was the company's designated smoking area.
Leaning against the wall he flicked open the packet of tobacco, and, bringing out another packet he started to mix up a small amount of the contents together, before pushing the mixture down into his pipe. Finding his lighter he sparked up and inhaled deeply. The smoke briefly imploded as he breathed in and then swarmed around his head as he breathed out with an appreciative sigh.
