Well, I just got my first full consulting gig (basically first, because they are paying...that's a first). I am going to be speaking at Colgate University on September 9th.
Yup, I will be doing An Army of One: Slam poetry and individual activism for their S.L.A.M. Leadership Conference. S.L.A.M. (Students, Leaders, Artists, Motivators) - A weekend of word power was created by a group of students who attended my presentation at the Arizona Leadership Conference in February. Pretty sweet really. The girl sais this conference was inspired by the presentation. Very cool actually.
I will be doing my presentation and working with students on creating a whole show of slam poetry. Should be cool. I present from 3-5pm on Saturday and then handle the show at 7:30pm on that same night.
Anyway, I will be in Hamilton, NY from Sept 8-10th. If anyone is around the area, comment back. I will have a bunch of free time and would love to hang out.
