Dating Celebrities Question...

I've been meaning to ask this for a while and never got a chance but its a interesting question. I just finished reading Eric Clapton's autobiography and he write about meeting his second wife who he married like seven years ago. He met her when she and a friend worked at Armani. The designer gave a benefit for Clapton's rehab center. The two women wanted their picture taken with Clapton and he said yes as long as he could take them both out to dinner. He met them both for lunch the next day and all three started dating. All three. Nothing physical but they all dated for a couple of months. Then when the one friend was visiting family, Clapton dated the other friend. Then he decided he really liked the girl who went to visit her family and the two of them broke it off with the third girl. So they are now married and have three little girls together.

So, my question is this... If your fave movie/tv/music star asked you and your best friend out would you date said celebrity? Because I don't get how that's normal.
