Can you believe it's November? I can't.

It honestly boggles my mind how fast time seems to be flying nowadays. November? Already? Wasn't it April just two weeks ago? When did summer happen? Huh? Just absolutely crazy. Regardless, time is passing more quickly than I would like but such is life I guess.

Did everyone have a good Halloween? I was pretty bummed about it at first because Jason had to go to class and we couldn't share the night together. It's his favorite holiday too which just sucks. Luckily our neighbors in our cul-de-sac have a yearly tradition of bringing out an outdoor fireplace and centralizing the candy so trick-or-treaters have one stop shopping. So after coming home and being invited over I changed out of my work clothes (into not-as-warm-as-I-wanted-them-to-be clothes) and finally got to meet the neighbor folk. Directly across the street from us is the lady who broke her leg when she ran over herself with her own car (a very amusing story), next door are the neighbors who have a daughter in college and the wife reminds me a lot of Debbie Huckstadt, and next door to them is the Comcast guy and his wife who is pregnant with their second baby. Next door to me is the slightly kooky Pentecostal neighbors with Bernard being the doddering old man from Britain who is kind but with an edge of creepiness, and then on the other side of them is the sales guy with his wife the stage actress on break to have babies. They were all really really nice and funny and friendly. They asked the important questions like "when are you getting married?" and "kids in the future? we want to insure the continuation of the neighborhood." I hope they liked me, but I think they did. Plus the bonus was that Jason got out of class early so he got to stop by for a bit. Afterwards I couldn't feel my toes and my throat scratches today but that's ok. Nelson even came out for a bit and we learned that he needs a LOT of socialization. He is now signed up for obedience training starting in about two weeks.

In other news not much going on. The busiest weekends have finally passed and now we have a short lull before the holidays. We're planning on starting Project Potty to fix/finish the main bathroom so we don't have to keep walking to the basement for everything. Last weekend Jason moved in some of his bigger furniture so now we have an official guest bedroom with a bed in it (although admittedly it is currently covered with crap that I've yet to find homes for so it's not very cozy at the moment). Tonight's goal is to finish that room so I don't have to worry about it anymore.

All in all that's about it. Happy autumn everybody!
