Kiss And Make Up
Her delicate fingers tapping on the glass wall separating them, Eden tried to attract his attention, knowing she already has it, but it always feels good to tease him.
Her lips curling in a half-smile which is more of a grin than it is an actual smile, she fixes her chocolate eyes on his, longing to meet the darkness in them, be engulfed in them.
Sylar turns to look at her with latent evil on his mind.
So latent that he thinks that the drugs they have been giving him have put the darkness in him to sleep....
But sometimes as he looks up at her, her black hair a tainted halo over her exquisite face, like a fallen Madonna, her eyes tender with a hint of irony and lips full and ful of promise and sin, he wonders if it is just her.
If it's just her and not the drugs.
If it's just her that makes him want to close his eyes and by keeping them shut, shut out all the horrible things he's done, the horrendous flood of what he's become...
And he dares to dream...
He dares to exit his body, escape it and escape both physical and metaphorical restraints binding him and holding him back...
And he finds that it's nowhere else he'd rather be than by her side, hearing her breathe, touching her, lulling her to sleep and inside his arms forever.
Because it feels as if he's known her forever.
He'd recognize his soulmate anywhere...
And as a pout forms on her face because she thinks he's not paying her attention, all he wants to whisper to her is:
"Baby, why can't we just kiss and make up?"
And in that moment he is Gabriel.
Gabriel Gray in love with Eden McCain....
