I think I'm going to like it here!

So today was orientation day.

I shall make no seacret of the fact that I was basically terrified about the entire afair...because, you know, anxiety...but the second Kawagachi-sensei appeared I knew it'd be fine.

This because she was all smiles and laughter for my utter lack of niponese (though I now know chotto/choto means 'a little' or possible 'a few' ) without being derogative!

Then I met my OTHER tutor Kondo-sensei and it began to dawn on me how utterly this program rocks...because I'm the entire extent of my class, so that's two very enthused ladies with just one me to imprint all their wisdom on!!

Other things that rock about the course:

. I get a great deal of afternoon meals bought for me through my tuition fee...though I kind of wish they'd told me that BEFORE I stocked up on things I could have whenever.

. I'm without lessons on the weekend so I can used the aforementioned stock pile here (oh and at breakfast/Mondays..yeh don't ask me why mondays don't count because IDK either)

. I only have 3 lessons every day!

. I am doing one cultury themed thing every week of the course!! (which starts with going to see the castle tomorrow!!)

. The fact that the guy behind it all actually took me on the tour!!

oh and while talking to Kawagachi-sensei we got onto the topic of why I came over which lead to talking about music...she didn't know who SCARECROW were (of course) nor did she or Kondo-sensei know either of the OTP. However when a certain blonde was mentioned everything went silent a moment before "AH! AXS!!" to which I was all "Hai" before trying to explain the whole AxS to Iceman to Scarecrow thing with little more than hand actions!

At the end of this likely entirely unsucessfull endevour Kawagachi-sensei said "Kondo-sensi and I would like to hear some SCARECROW some time."

:)

PS.

Make your suntan lotions stronger Japan.

TWO very liberal coatings have gone on my skin today and still there is pink everywhere...¬¬
