Firstly a work update
Rob was in with me yesterday...
It was the first time we've had any sort of contact since monday and, thankfully, there was no uncomfotable feeling in my chest or a desperate want to cry.
No there was simply the pleasure of being in the company of a good friend!
Basically it realy is going to be fine!!!!!!!!!!
Secondly a trip run down
Travelling down was the easiest thing in the world and I even went through a Toll booth for the very first time (as a driver)
The exibition was amazing! Not only could you get stupidly close to the costumes and thus see all the painstaking details but they also had props and random bits of info scattered everywhere.
have some photos:
Yaz I got to stand by the TARDIS!!!
This picture of one of the Darleks in the amazing Darlek tableux comes with a story...you see two seconds after taking it smoke starting pouring out of a vent and the Darleks began to move. Caught unaware I could only stand, a little petrified and watch as they acted out an extermination of both myself and those around me.
I totaly doubled back so that I could watch the thing again!!!!!!!
Once done I wonderd over to the cafe just outside, secured a hot bevarge and a stupidly huge Icecream sundee!
Then I sat in BOU's backseat for a while, reading my way through "another note" and basically killing time.
At 6:30 I set off in the direction of the theatre and the carpark I'd spent last week researching and locating.
Which is where the 'fun' begins.
Aparently Cardiff has decided that now is a good time to over hall almost every single carpark within reach of the theatre!
I spent a half hour following parking signs that led no where, following the sat nav into dead ends and doing far to many 3 point turns.
Eventually I got a spot right by the station and walked back to the theatre.
Thankfully Michale realy was worth all that effort!
I seriously laughed so hard that my throat is all itchy and scratchy!!!!!!
Eventually it was time to go home and that's when I hit part 2 of "let's have fun with roadworks".
They've closed off an entire stretch of the M4 (the road I need to get me back into England) and sign posted the diversion so badly that I spent at least 20 minutes going up and down this one slip of road.
Then, on the M5 they've closed off the two junctions before J25 (which filters down and around into Taunton) and basically given up sign posting the divesions past the first roundabout, which means I ended up half way towards Minehead (about an hour out of my way) before I realised something was up.
Of course the whole entire matter would have been made easier if the sat nav didn't keep attempting to send me back up in the closed roads and thus make it nessicary for me to rely on the sign posts in the first place!
thirdly, much delayed New York videos:
In which Laura pretends the top of her moca is Hyde!
In which we sing Super Driver at the top of our lungs in a basically isolated Starbucks!!
