I has free internets!
so I'm officially holled up in my Japanese home for the next 7 days.
This rooms a little smaller than the one I had last year and lacks epic balcony, however I can't moan as I still have all the things that made me want to come back to this hotel (freindly staff, giant hot tub, free internets and spectacular views (on this occation I have a view of the little temple just down the road))
I had thought to go out to the tower today but the pleasent walk from Hanamatchou (sp) to the hotel becomes just that little bit harder when one has a suitcase, a laptop bag and a duffle (yes Laura dear I did manage to get another case!)to cart with them.
also I have just crossed three different time zones so I think a little lazyness can be forgiven!!
Thus tomorrow I'll do the tower, walk myself over the Diet and see if I can actually get inside this time and actually FIND the Roponge hills.
bascially as of tomorrow I plan to cram in as much fun as possible!! Because, honestly, I begin to feel I'd need a month to truly appreciate the amazingness of this country!!
Today...
today I have a con repo for you
For those who didn't know/ were uncertain THIS WAS MY FIRST CONVENTION.
EVER
Though there weren't realy many pannels that took my interest on this occation the atmosphere in the place totaly made up for it!
Also I honestly don't think there was a single instant where I wasn't gasping and stating "OMG it's..."
the highlights of which insaneness was:
. the Matt cosplayers! One in particular had gone to extreem lengths to give her cosplay just the right sort of look for final incarnation Matt (insert spoiler here)
. the Gravitation group! Because one of their Ryu's had a BAD hat!!!! Though it was sad that they didn't have a Toma...I kind of wanted to take up sclez's idea off chasing one around screaming "LOOOOOK WHAT YOU DIIIIID TO MEEEEEE"
. the professor Layton duo. kitsunekaya and I litterally froze in place as we spotted the familiar top hat, then proceeded to go into "OMG LET US TAKE YOUR PICTURE' mode!
Bascially thank you so much for inviting me Laura!!! I totaly wanna do it again next year!!!!!! (we should so do deathnote)
a brief tale of how the customs guy in Japan started talking about Death Note to me as he was searching through my nag ( this because I bought a few volumes while in the states and, logically, had them packed)
and a statement of "bwhahaha I totaly got Laura into Junjou!!!
oh chibi Kench should be around later to finish his New York/Otacon repo!
