I've had my very first proper meal in Japan today.
This is less of an achievement than it sounds because the lady who tended to me spoke wonderful English, but it's something, Right??
Also the postive nature of this experience has encouraged me to branch out and try some of the other resteraunts in the Hotel.
So sunday I'm going to have a ladies lunch in the little coffe shop in the entrance Foyer, because a) at 1000 yen it doesn't sound too bad and b) it looks really nummy!
as to today's trip...
The sun was so strong that quite a few people were carrying umbrellas in the attempt to avoid sunstroke. (I stupidly left my hat at the hotel and thus binge drunk water the entire day!)
The wonderful sceenery had me attempting creative shots (most of which failed miserably)
Then there were the Sakuradamon gates:
who's wonderful, smokey scent filled my brain with the mental image of lines of Samurai marching for the glory of Japan.
Tomorrow, should anyone have forgotten, I'm off to see Rin.
The importance of this occation has ment that I've spent a few minutes bookmarking phrases that I might need and giggling to myself about the ones I want to use, but know that I can't (such as 'will you marry me' and 'I think you're sexy'.)
I've also done a little Shibuya research and discovered that somewhere in the area is a large Dojinishi shop.
Needless to say this weeks 'extra' money will be travelling with me tomorrow in the hopes that I can find said shop and that they'll have random Iceman based smut.
