You'll have to forgive this slight diversion from the 'norm' but
I wanna talk about the first part of Tokyo revilations. (which the amazing Shinzen subs has gotten fansubed and available for torrent here: http://bt.shinsen-subs.org/)
It's long been my dream to see this particular part of the manga given a decent anime adaptation and I have to say that, at the moment, I feel that dream is being realised.
There are a few nitpicky bits here and there (the general look of the character's when seen from a distance, Fuuma's character in general and the lack of an intense violet for Kamui's eyes) but on the whole I'm impresed.
Kamui moves in a wonderful, floaty, manner while fighting which gives this 'I'm a Vampire and thus I can fly' edge to things. His voice actor does a wonderful job portraying the sort of detached sentiment he has for everything other than his dearest oniichan and also manages to feel part of the character despite being a little more butch than one is used to for Kamui voices.
What I've heard from Subaru's voice actor intruges me and already I want so badly for the other chapters to be subbed in order that I can hear his entire range! (May yet cave and watch the whole thing raw...will see how I feel later in the week!)
The production on a whole has a sumptuious feel that I became absorbed in and I'd certainly concider watching the Tsubasa anime again if p.IG take up the series!
