I'm not sure where it started. But human kind was dying and some sort of plague was at fault. It would turn humans into beings completely soulless but with intelligent thought. It had been spreading and somehow I wound up in a game of survival. Trying to escape these zombie-ish monsters with a band of other people. We were in some small seaside town. It was us vs them. Each of us died off gradually like in every story until I was the last one left. I ended up in some sort of room filled with too many pipes and rails. I was being slowly followed by a pack of them. I made my way to the middle of the room by climbing over random bars. Where they seemed to not want me to go. In the center there was this pole with a button on it. I guess I wasn't supposed to press it. But at that moment something was released and it made all the zombies go away. Maybe they returned to normal or maybe they died that wasn't important. The after effects were the worse part. For some reason the world went to hell. I got back to the "home base" of where this game originally started and most of the players seemed to be okay now. One of the players was double crossed and left for dead. She didn't die, and of course she wanted revenge. Each team member began to die one by one. She catches up to me on some street. It's raining and hard to see. I don't remember ever wronging her but I felt sorrow for her vengeful rampage. So I kneeled head down before her. *Bang* and I fall to the ground. My head falls to the right, there's blood in my eyes but I'm still alive. I'm watching her walk away. Somehow I survived. I thought she shot me in the head. But the next thing you know, I'm fine again.
We ran out of electricity. Gasoline was running dry. I went to a local comic store that for some reason began to sell guns. I grabbed a six-shooter. It looked old and rusted. I pulled the trigger and it fires into the wall. The clerk warns me they're all loaded. Oh thanks, that really helps me now. I put it down never wanting to touch a gun again. My friend calls me as if nothing had ever happened, telling me to "come party". I try driving home and none of the traffic lights are working. It's like everyone is giving up just because there's no more gas. People begin robbing stores without thought. Storeowners begin carrying guns on them at all times. I go to a store and a cop comes in to ask the only worker there if he had a permit for his gun. The clerk looks to his left and right and jets out the front door with the cop closely behind. That's a lot of work for one gun. Everyone in the store began to grab anything nearby and leave. Some filmmakers came through our town making a video about the end of humanity. As if we wouldn't survive having no electricity or gasoline. They seem to film knowing that they would never end up using the footage to make anything at all. All over town there were crazy people coming from every direction. They all said the usual world ending bullshit. But this time people listened. All I can remember was a gay homeless man who hid from other homeless men in a building with hundreds of boxes getting too much camera time.
