[There's bit of static before Umi speaks into the device: she still sounds weak, but considerably more rested and in a far better mood than those she talked to during the last days may remember.]

...Sorry it took me a while to check in. May as well now I CAN without someone trying to snatch the device from me. There was some huge rushing ( Read more... )

Everyone is fine over here, Umi.

That last curse apparently only effected people who were unaware enough to actually put on a pair of randomly delivered red shoes.
I had no idea people were loosing their feet because of it however…

[ALL the more glad he scared the wits out of Geo when he found his pair of red shoes then.]

...Some girl falls in love with these red shoes that make her dance gorgeously. But then, surprise! She can't take the darn things OFF.

If you ask me? Practice your ballet and don't go the easy way! She kind of got it coming.

That sounds like the kind of story this place would like…

But, I guess you weren’t involved in that curse at all, since you were surprised to hear about the shoes?

I'm in the stupid hospital. Not much I can do to get involved in anything!

Besides, if something suspicious like red shoes would've been delivered to me here Aya would've tossed them out the window in a blink.

They finally decided to give you two a room together. No wonder you seem so much more settled!

I admit I am beginning to feel a new sympathy for those poor nurses you keep hassling.

It took A LOT of convincing with a side of threatening and glaring, let me tell you. [And also some lying, which she won't bring up publicly.]

Poor nothing. They're having it better right now.

Having to deal with an unruly patient, doesn’t sound like ‘having it better right now’….

[He laughs though.
He clearly isn’t only talking about your situation, as he also seems to be in the position of play a ‘nurse’ to a patient who would rather be up and moving now. ]

Who's unruly? I'm lying here obediently and calmly! Besides yesterday I got like twelve hours of sleep straight!

[Doesn't that make her into a model patient??]

Now you are, which is undeniably a good thing, but before they allowed Aya to join you…

[Trailing off now, since she should remember just how frantic and yes, unruly, she had been at that time. Even when she knew he was safe she wouldn’t rest… ]

Before that happened... I was having a far worse time that I could've ever given them. So that balances things out.

[No, she won't ever regret this behavior.]
