We know extremely little, if by "history" you refer to things that happened more than a couple of years ago.

...Mister Clow. Well, I was HOPING-- ...Nothing past that? I guess it really was naive.

Collectively, no one is even certain the City existed before then.

What was it you wanted to know, though?

...No. Not collectively at ALL. "Collectively" is usually far easier.

Anything, really. You know-- whatever drops some light on if this place even existed before the curses started making it this weird!

... I personally don't know, either.

That's a very broad category.

It's because this is pretty much a shot in the dark. I wish I had more specifics. Like- dates or names of books.

If wishes were fishes, I wouldn't be in the business of magic.

Uh. Probably not. Let me guess: you'd be a fisherman?

But that's a thought: Mister Clow, do you think magic could help us here? At least making it easy to browse the Library for something?

It wouldn't hurt, to be sure, although the methods of divination I have in mind usually work better when trying to find something specific.

So much for needing to learn the Dewey decimal system.~

How... specific... would that need to be? Would you be able to find it even if it was hidden very well? Or-- somewhere really unlikely?

Generally, the more specific the better. I don't know whether or not it would end up finding it even under those circumstances, though. Admittedly, much of it depends on luck and whether the City wants us to find it.

...Then it's like banging our heads against a concrete door, expecting to budge it or something.

But if I was willing to try... What would I need to do?
