Thanks. That's exactly what I'm trying to figure out. I believe there may be a way to sense when a portal is about to open.

Sense? Or find using scientific instruments? I'm not a physicist, but the presence of portals between dimensions should generate measurable energy or... somehow interfere with this reality.

That's what I believe too, going by what some people have told me.

I actually planned to try to perceive that energy through magic! Though I'm not yet sure what sort of power generates those portals.

Maybe. Most of it's theory, but it couldn't hurt to look into it. I'll do some research...
