He's been by the fountain, and he watches her with interest, silently for a long while. "Another water user?"

"...Another?" The water sprouts on Umi's hands fade as her concentration falters. She didn't expect to find someone else so nearby! Now she stares at the stranger curiously.

Her eyes widen as she notices his aura. "Uh. You are...?"

It is fate~ /dramatic music plays in the background

He watches her ability, and watches it fade. Huh, interesting. "I'm Demyx, who're you?" As he speaks two exact replicas of him, but made entirely out of water, swing by, almost unconsciously drawn to Demyx, with his uncertainty about how she's looking at him.

[OoC: Also, I don't know if you know KH2 at all, or about the Nobodies, and I, uh don't know MKR, but basically they're emotionless. I can go more into detail about that, and I don't even know if he'd technically have an aura, but yeah. Deeeefinitely would be an interesting one.]

Alright: this was nothing like the water spells she was familiar with. For a moment Umi could only gasp and stare at the liquid duplicates. Then curiosity grew stronger. This wasn't the strangest thing she'd seen in The City, after all.

"My name's Umi. Ryuuzaki Umi." Surprise faded and Umi could smile with obvious interest. "That's a very interesting trick to do with water."

[ooc: I'm... not a KH expert. AT ALL. ;;; But I have an idea of how Umi would be able to sense water magic/powers of any kind because basically she's one with the water element. IDK.]

"Well, I don't really know anyone else that's water. But cool, isn't it, huh?" Demyx really liked his water, even though no one in the Organization particularly cared about it, today he was sure that he was stronger, and all sorts of people were paying attention to it. "You wanna see more?" He grinned.

Oh, right, introductions. "I'm Demyx."

[OoC: Oooooh, that's ttly cool, then. Yeah, that makes sense. Sensing his powers/water affiliation is definitely something she'd be able to see. 8D]

"Of course it is." Umi shared the pride. There was even a little arrogance in her voice. She wouldn't change her element for anything. That was how important a part of her heart it was. "Water is speed and grace and strength, all in one! Nice to meet you, Demyx. I think I've heard of you."

Yes, if Umi thought back to a conversation with Miss Megumi, she believed she remembered the healer had mentioned that was the name of another water mage. She grinned happily. Meeting Demyx during such a curse was really fitting.

"I'd sure like to see more. I can make the water take the shape of a dragon." She nodded at the water duplicates. "But nothing quite as that."

"Huh, I never thought of it like that." And he hadn't. It was just his, and that's what made it great. Sure, it was strong, and flowing, and all that stuff, but he jut took it as it was, and never really went too deeply into it. It was a part of him as much as the coat that he wore and the sitar that he used.

That took him off-guard, though. "You have?" Based on her next sentence, he guessed that it wasn't from Sora, otherwise she'd probably be attacking him or something, instead of asking him to actually use his powers.

"Yeah? Cool." And that was the last thing he said before his clones essentially melted down into puddles, only to gather together and shoot back up into huge columns of water, popping up in a way that made him travel all the way to the other side of the fountain. He came back, and then they formed a circle around him, before they melted back into clones.

He raised his hand and a few bubbles came down from the sky, bouncing on the ground, before popping and evaporating back into nothing. He grinned. "Like it?"
