Month of Movies #3

Nov 04, 2008 04:32

Looks like it’s time for #3 in the dual blog countdown of November’s Month of Movies with my favoritest films being listed as close to every day as possible, lol.

SLEEPY HOLLOW (1999)

One of the best of the best, Tim Burton outdid himself with this one. Beautiful scores by Elfman, fabulous direction and filters, gorgeous story telling and a stellar cast make up the second best version of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow that I’ve ever had the pleasure to watch.

Ichabod Crane’s character is changed in this film. No longer a school teacher, now he’s a constible from New York City who’s Murder She Wrote ways piss off the rest of justice system in NYC and he’s sent up to Sleepy Hollow to investigate a string of unsolved beheaddings as sort of a punishment/way to get rid of him for good.

This is by far my favorite of Depp’s films eclipsed only by Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, even the small parts were handed out to worth actors like Martin Landau who’s in the film for all of five seconds. Gorgeous film, definately worth the rental, and out of 5 possible stars this film gets a 5!

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s film, which will be posted on beautifulsin.net!
