(no subject)
i auditioned for a show on tuesday, but it didn't go as well for me as i had hoped at all!! Josh was great, we auditioned together. but it was bothering me because i kept thinking of how much better i could have done...
but yesterday when josh and i were going away to a Tent state meeting (crazy activism)
we were waiting for a bus, and two of the guys who auditioned us were there and they came up to us saying, "you did a really great job on the audition yesterday" (talking to josh) but they included me too. and we started tlaking to them for a while, acting goofy like we do, and josh and i were making them laugh a lot! they kept saying things like "let me write this down in my notes" "i like her! she's funny" and "wow you two just went up a whole lot in my book" so i felt really good about that. Then i looked at the cast list posted online this morning when i got up and i was the first name, and josh was on it too!!! YAY!! i jumped around with anjelica for a while, but then i had to go to class. Waiting at the bus stop, i saw one of the guys again and I talked to him for a while, apparently they were casting people until 3:00 this morning and he sent out the emails at 5:30 this morning, then had to get up for class. But i talked to him, apparently there are a bunch of groups and he's my director and josh is in another group. But the show is supposed to be like saturday night live, there are a bunch of skits directly from saturday night live, anyway i'm in three sketches and one of them's a monologue.!! and another one i talk about having just had sex...which i think is funny...i'm really excited and i have my first rehearsal tonight. Unfortunately that means i wont be able to audition for little shop of horrors like i was going to, or a musical called "working." oh well. Josh and i are trying to get tickets to see the dalai lama, everywhere we go is sold out. But tonight we're going to livingston as our last hope... if we can't get tickets we'll be staying home until sunday instead of leaving saturday night after the drama show.
