She came to Harpswood with her friends for a party. At the party she met a girl, Rachel, whose mother works with her father in William County. Neither Reeda nor Rachel know that their parents are having an affair. Rachel's mother is married to her second husband, Ed, who works at the water plant. Ed is Jill's uncle. His brother, "Po", is Jill's father. In the passenger seat, James screams out the window at some girls who are obviously a little underage. James used to date Jill before Stanley did.
