Squee! Congrats on near-graduating, the year off and the permit. Post-highschool years are adventures, taking a year off is generally, IMO, one of the best decisions you could ever make (especially with your plans for it!) and I'm sure you'll be a great driver.

Yeah, so far everyone I've talked to who's been/going to college has recommended that I take a year off beforehand. I don't think I've heard anyone say that I shouldn't.
