so July then...
First off, 'take no shit' month was a success and the trial will be extended into august.
So July was getting off to a nice start what with the job etc, and then paying the rent came round - surprised to find my account in minus 5 grand i quizzed the bank, seems that some eastern bloc country decided i was the sort of person who could finance some building work and stole my details.
accounts have been frozen moved switched and halifax are being nice and have sorted it out for me but it meant rent was late.
play came and went as mentioned in last post
maelstrom came and much fun was had with getting a blessing i didn't want, finding out what it was, then trading it in for hopefully something similar, eating gorgeous food at jade lotus and being dragged to be a dance partner (although i have now learnt to move faster) for someone who will remain nameless :P at the flembic ball after drinking possibly a little too much wine.
more fun was then had as we went wandering for a good pair of ophidian skin boots but it seemed all the places we went didn't stock them so we went home for more wine bare foot - maybe next event :D
back at work, people kept asking me when i was moving and i am still awaiting paperwork to come through but as of monday i begin to learn and shadow the job, so much excitment for monday - yay!
this week was handing over my job to my replacement and was asked to help one of the other admin with interview confidence (alledgedly i am good at this - see last post about blah blah bit)
anyhoo - i spoke to Liz for about 45mins before her interview on thursday, she knows the stuff she just tends to get the nerves before the interview panel. the interview lasted 20mins and she got the job - go Liz (and a bit of go me)
so it seems i getting known across the department as either admin person, it help or confidence booster - maybe i should renegotiate my contract.
in other news, my line manager at Games Workshop is leaving mid-august at which point curiousity got the better and i asked if his job was being advertised, it is but unless they can give me job security and pay me a bit more (like maybe twice as much) i'm really quite happy where i am so i let the deadline pass and i'm sure a few people will ask me why but, then with a government pension and a stable nice job under my belt i can build up to the pay as i go.
