Saturday is moving day!
There are boxes filling every available space- we have to squeeze past to move from room to room- and forget trying to pass someone. There is still a lot that's not packed, but we don't have any room to put it until some of the boxes get toted away. So tomorrow will be a hectic rush, shoving things into boxes while the truck is being loaded, making sure Aravine doesn't engineer a Grand Escape while the couches are being shoved through the open door, hoping and praying that the Neighbors From Hell don't decide to start beating each other in the hallway again...
Yesterday evening we went to our new home for a few minutes, to measure the rooms, check the locations of the cable hookup thingamabobs, etc, but mainly we just stared out the windows. The yard has grass for Aravine to play- do you know here I was never able to take her outside to play? Partly because of the Drunken Neighbor, who was replaced by the Neighbors From Hell, but also because there's no room for her to play, other than the parking lot. I always felt like such a Bad Mom, keeping her inside when the sun was shining. Now I won't have to.
Our new home feels good. It has good energy. The bathtub is small, but who cares when there's that lovely green world peeking in through the curtains?
