I Need Your Suggestions
Starting January 8, I'll be playing at the Castlerock Pub in St. Albert (the giant castle-bar on the north end of the Trail) every Monday night, which is also 35 cent shrimp night.
It's going to be me and my jazz quintet playing, 7ish until 11ish, but everything else has yet to be decided.
We were thinking of hosting a jazz open jam either each week or the first Monday of the month.
Maybe featuring a different guest musician each week.
Maybe a poor-student type drink special.
What time does the U of A jazz band rehearse on Mondays?
There are a lot of horn players in St. Albert, maybe I can do something with the St. Albert Community Big Band.
The ultimate goal is to fill the bar week after week and keep this going for a few years. Give me your ideas or suggestions please and thank you.
