A/N: Hey, look, a title! My house closed yesterday, so I’m staying with a friend until I drive out on Monday. It’s hard to believe, man. It all happened so quickly.

More Wanda torture ahead, with some ANW stuff. I like Dev, especially because he’s a little shit.

----------------------------

Wanda was on a hair-trigger. Cosmo knew she blamed herself for Timmy’s predicament, and he knew she was concealing something from him. The mental barrier between them was too solid to surmount or breakthrough. He was worried--when she’d shifted back into fairy form, she’d dipped and almost fallen out of the air. What he’d sensed before she blocked him out was tumultuous and self-loathing. She carried a lot of guilt over Blonda’s fate, and when he’d tried to bring it up, she’d silenced him.

“Baby…” he murmured, trying to catch her attention. They were following Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda through Anti-Fairy World, which was as large as Fairy World but in much worse shape. Unfortunately, the Unseelie fairies had prohibited direct transportation to anyone unallied with them, which meant they had to travel the long way. Timmy was silent beside them, and Cosmo fretted over him, too. Timmy kept trying to catch Wanda’s eye, but Wanda wouldn’t look at him, either.

Disturbed, Cosmo grabbed her hand and squeezed. She looked at and then through him, and his lower lip quivered. Something within her shifted, and, for a brief second, he glimpsed her self-loathing as Lorenzo violated their godson. Combined with that was the sensation of Asmodeus raping her and how she’d been paralyzed and unable to protect Timmy. Her throat constricted, and she wrenched her hand from Cosmo’s grasp. Tears slipped down his cheeks, and she drew a deep, shuddering breath that ended in a sob.

Timmy and Poof glanced at her, and she shook her head as tears flew off. She wasn’t holding it together as well as she thought she was. Cosmo could tell that she wanted to dissolve into sobs and was barely staving it off.

“Talk to me,” he whispered, drifting closer. Wanda flinched when he reached for her, and his pathetic attempt to hide how much that hurt failed miserably. His lower lip quivered, and tears slid down his cheeks. Her expression softened, and she started to reach back when she shut down. That image resurfaced, along with Lorenzo laughing at her while he violated Timmy. Asmodeus and Lorenzo had rubbed it in Wanda’s face, showing how powerless she’d been. The physical pain was secondary compared to the emotional anguish.

Wanda drifted further ahead with her shoulders shaking. Cosmo’s arm trembled as he reached for her, and she deftly avoided him. She shouldn’t be carrying this all alone. He wanted to hold her tightly, but she wouldn’t let him touch her. More tears spilled down his cheeks.

“I don’t get it,” Timmy said. “She wants us around. I know she does. But the second we get near her, she moves away.”

Poof popped up before her, and Wanda jumped, startled. Cosmo and Timmy exchanged glances before joining the youngest fairy.

“Mom, you have to talk to one of us,” Poof said. “You can’t keep it all bottled in.”

“This isn’t--” she sighed and shook her head. “I don’t want to discuss it.”

“You have to!” Poof and Timmy said simultaneously. Wanda’s expression shuttered further, and she balled her fists.

“It’s my fault you got hurt, Timmy,” Wanda said, avoiding their glances. She was trying for stoicism, but tears trickled down her cheeks, and she swallowed hard, probably trying to calm down without resorting to magic. She couldn’t manage it. Instead, she dissolved into helpless weeping, and Cosmo and Poof flew to her. This time, she accepted their comfort and turned around to press up tightly against her family. She shook so violently with sobs that Cosmo and Poof shuddered, too. Cosmo felt wretched. Wanda cried like her heart was broken, and he couldn’t stand it.

Poof, Timmy, and Cosmo likewise burst into tears. Anti-Cosmo glanced back, perhaps on the verge of saying something catty when his eyes narrowed. They had dragged Asmodeus along because they didn’t trust him alone with his cronies, and Anti-Cosmo’s green eyes blazed with loathing. He shot Asmodeus in the back hard enough that the man slammed headfirst into the broken pavement. When Asmodeus tried to rise, Anti-Wanda blasted him back down.

Aside from the gathering thunderclouds booming in the distance, it was eerily quiet on this stretch of abandoned road. Wanda’s sobs echoed, and Cosmo wept in sympathy. She hadn’t lowered her mental barriers, and Cosmo thumbed away her tears. Their gazes met, and then she ducked her head.

“Don’t worry,” Anti-Cosmo reassured them. “He’ll suffer worse than this.”

Wanda nodded, though she didn’t turn her face away from Cosmo’s neck and shoulder, which were now soaked. Cosmo stroked her curly hair, one of the many things he loved about her, and she nuzzled him. Heat rushed to his cheeks, and his arms tightened around her. Thinking about how despondent she’d been earlier alarmed him. He couldn’t bear the thought of losing her.

Asmodeus scoffed when he picked himself back up. He leered at Cosmo and Wanda, and the entire family, including Timmy, glared. Cosmo rubbed Wanda’s back, and she looked up at him. Her eyes swam with tears, and he leaned forward to kiss her. She kissed him back and swiped her tongue across his lips. Without hesitation, he opened his mouth and held her as tightly as possible. He wouldn’t risk Asmodeus touching her again; he needed her to know that.

“Keep walking,” Anti-Cosmo snapped at Asmodeus. Anti-Cosmo studied Wanda, too, and Cosmo shut his eyes. Wanda shuddered, and her barrier, while not lowering entirely, inched down. Cosmo was hurt that she didn’t trust him. He loved her and wasn’t about to abandon her at the first sign of trouble. They’d been through so much that it shouldn’t have entered her mind.

“Talk to me,” Cosmo pleaded. He opened his eyes to see where he was going but didn’t release her. “C’mon. We’re here for you.”

“I don’t blame you for what happened,” Timmy scoffed like that was obvious. “You tried to save me. I know…”

He hesitated and gulped. “I know you love me, and I love you, too.”

He flushed. “Even if I called you ‘Mom’ before.”

Wanda reddened, and her sorrow abated momentarily. “I liked it when you called me that, sweetie. I just wish it’d been under better circumstances.”

“I can call you that again if you want,” Timmy suggested. Wanda gave him a watery smile, and Cosmo kissed her on the cheek. Their eyes met, and she let the barrier between them drop. Cosmo breathed a relieved sigh, especially when she relaxed against him.

((I wish I could melt into you, pudding,)) she murmured in Cosmo’s mind.

((We can try that later!)) he replied, nuzzling her back. She glanced at him quizzically. At least she’d stopped crying.

“Why are you giving him such a weird look?” Timmy asked, and she groaned.

“Sometimes I don’t know if even Cosmo knows whether he’s being figurative or literal,” she said. She sighed, caressing Cosmo’s cheek. Cosmo stole a kiss, and she sighed again, relieved and relaxed. Their legs intertwined, and she’d almost forgotten they had company until Asmodeus snickered.

Outraged, she broke off her embrace with Cosmo and ignored his whining.

“What the hell do you want?” she snapped. “Cosmo’s my husband. I chose to be with him.”

Cosmo’s arm wrapped around her waist possessively, and she smiled weakly.

“You two think you love each other,” Asmodeus sneered. “It’s almost cute. Love is a weakness, you know. Or you should know since I returned your wedding ring to you only to break your hand.”

Wanda cringed, and Cosmo glared, outraged. He related to wanting Wanda to melt into him; the best he could do was hold her. She draped her arms over his neck, and he pulled her into a closer embrace. Their gazes met, and they kissed again. Cosmo poured all his passion into it, hoping she understood how much he loved her. She smiled back and caressed his cheek.

((Later,)) she said, smiling shyly. She let her hand trail down his back and brush his wings. ((We’ll need some alone time later.))

Cosmo grinned, perking up at the thought, and she snorted. Her heart pounded, and if they hadn’t been in the middle of something, he would’ve suggested they take alone time now and damn the consequences. The look in her eyes showed that she agreed.

(Asmodeus’s comment about breaking Wanda’s right hand had slipped from Cosmo’s mind. If he were more suspicious, Cosmo might have thought she’d distracted him on purpose.)

Anti-Cosmo sighed, rolling his eyes. “If you two need a room for a minute…”

“Sorry,” they said in unison sheepishly and reluctantly disentangled. Cosmo held her hand and squeezed. She smiled, squeezing back.

((I love you,)) he said earnestly. ((I will always love you, no matter what.))

She beamed. ((I love you, too, sugar. I never want to be apart again.))

((I can do that!))

She grinned widely and played with his hair. Her grin turned seductive. ((Oh, I know you can.))

She tugged on his tie, and blood rushed to other parts of his body. It was a good thing he didn’t need to walk. Wanda snorted, though he knew the same thing applied to her. They were both uncomfortable but trying to ignore it.

“Are they always like this?” Asmodeus complained.

Timmy smiled. “Only on a good day.”

Cosmo tousled Timmy’s hair affectionately, and Wanda flicked Poof’s curl. Their sons grinned, and Wanda melted against Cosmo. He was so relieved that she was acting like her usual self again.

Asmodeus huffed and yanked Wanda down to his level. Once she was there, he tried to cop a feel on her chest. Cosmo blasted Asmodeus to the ground and created a chain and collar. He also forced the Unseelie King to walk on his hands and knees like a dog. Cosmo was shaking; Asmodeus had grabbed Wanda like he had every right to her. Another shuttered look entered her eyes, increasing Cosmo’s ire and foreboding. She might not have raised the block again, but her gaze was distant.

“Wanda?” Cosmo murmured, and she shook her head, rubbing her arms.

“All in favor of knocking him out?” Timmy snapped.

“Aye,” Cosmo, Poof, Anti-Cosmo, and Anti-Wanda said. Wanda abstained; Cosmo felt her mind drifting back to last night and his heart clenched. Impulsively, he grabbed her and clutched her tightly. Burying his face in her neck, he inhaled her familiar scent and kissed her. Her hand shook as she pressed it against Cosmo’s neck and stroked his hair.

“I wish Asmodeus were unconscious!” Timmy called. Cosmo remembered that fairy magic didn’t usually work on Unseelie fairies due to their conflicting natures, but Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda remedied that problem. Asmodeus collapsed, and Anti-Cosmo became a human and kicked him hard in the ribs. Cosmo heard something break.

Wanda’s breathing was shallow, and Cosmo saw Asmodeus shattering her right hand in her mind, which she’d attempted to brush past. Her whole body quaked with fear, and Cosmo grasped her so tightly that he might be cutting off blood flow.

((You’re okay, you’re okay,)) he whispered. ((I love you. You’re okay.))

Wanda shuddered and tried to ground herself. She lifted her head, and their eyes met. Timmy and Poof grabbed her hands, and she stopped herself from shaking them off. Instead, she worked on steadying her breathing until she’d calmed down a little.

“Thank you for defending me, sweetie,” Wanda murmured. She pecked Cosmo on the cheek. “I love all of you.”

“We love you, too, Mom,” Poof said. Wanda smiled, weak but genuine, and Cosmo felt better. He wrapped an arm around her waist, and she leaned her head on his shoulder again.

The anti-fairies watched them intently; Anti-Wanda looked insane, as usual, but Anti-Cosmo’s expression was unreadable.

They continued. Anti-Cosmo dragged Asmodeus along the leash and let his head hit every rock along the way.

They arrived at a palatial castle that rivaled Anti-Cosmo’s abode. The temperature was ten degrees lower than the castle’s surroundings, and Cosmo’s throat tightened, looking at the towering monstrosity. Wanda whimpered, and Cosmo instinctively reached for her thoughts to see what upset her. She slammed the barrier between them, and it was his turn to whimper. She was closing herself off again.

“Wanda?” Timmy said, and she shook her head.

“I don’t want to go in there,” she whispered. “Don’t make me go in there.”

She shivered, rubbing her arms so vigorously that she was irritating them. Black sleeve gloves appeared below her shirt sleeves, and she rubbed the fabric instead. Her lips trembled, and her teeth chattered. Cosmo’s impressions of her memories were distant, but they weren’t gone. He could feel Asmodeus violating her and how he’d delighted in her agony. Wanda gasped, looking torn between poofing elsewhere alone and staying with everyone else.

“It’ll be okay,” Timmy said. “We won’t let anything else happen to you.”

“Like I tried to protect you?” she countered. She blanched, clinging to Cosmo. He was glad Timmy had elected to knock the asshole out. They didn’t need any more snide remarks. Plus, Wanda was rattled enough without them.

“It’s not your fault,” Timmy protested. “I know you would have done something if you could have. Have you been blaming yourself this whole time?”

Reluctantly, she nodded, and Timmy sighed, exasperated.

“We’ll talk about that later,” he promised. His lower lip quivered, and he grabbed her and Cosmo. Wanda hugged Timmy back, and he squeezed them.

“I love you guys. So much,” he said.

“We love you, too,” Cosmo and Wanda chorused. Cosmo nuzzled Wanda’s cheek, and a small smile creased her lips. She nuzzled him back.

Cosmo wrapped his arm around her waist, and her smile broadened. She leaned against him.

“We might have to rouse the asshole,” Anti-Cosmo snapped. “Otherwise, our arrival would be highly suspicious.”

“So, wake him,” Timmy retorted. Wanda blanched; images threatened to overwhelm her, and Cosmo could tell she was one step away from bolting. Tears coursed down her cheeks, and her breathing was shallow. Anti-Cosmo drifted closer while Anti-Wanda blasted Asmodeus back into consciousness.

“What?” Wanda said, clenching her teeth.

“He nearly killed you,” Anti-Cosmo said quietly. “Numerous times.”

He caressed her cheek, and Cosmo blasted him back. His heart was pounding, and he hoped hers was racing for the same reason. Wanda’s pupils were dilated, and Asmodeus regained consciousness to shoot her a smug look and make a derogatory hand signal. Cosmo growled, baring his teeth, and Asmodeus snorted, thrusting his hips in Wanda’s direction. Wanda’s hand was cold and clammy, and she looked like she was on the verge of fainting.

“You’re okay,” Timmy murmured to her. “You’re okay. I love you.”

She nodded, a distant look in her eyes. Asmodeus made a specific gesture Cosmo didn’t recognize, but it wasn’t for him. Wanda was barely holding onto reality, trying to remain afloat while the boat sank around her. She whimpered, squeezing Cosmo’s hand, and then collapsed into another memory.

-----------------------

Ozymandias laughed as he squeezed her throat. Red and black spots danced before her eyes, and she shuddered. He and Asmodeus had learned new tricks with her wand, and they delighted in playing with potential future scenarios in which Cosmo and her family abandoned her. The problem was that the scenarios felt so real that she had difficulty differentiating between reality and fiction. Moreover, the longer she spent in this hotel, the more she thought Asmodeus was right.

In the future, they showed her that her son had changed his name to Peri and was a godparent. None of her son’s prior personality showed. Peri was grim-faced and very serious. Also, when he shapeshifted into anything besides his usual floating self, he limped when he walked. It must’ve been an injury inflicted by iron because magic should’ve healed it.

Peri’s godson was familiar with Cosmo’s goddaughter. Yet the Cosmo she knew was gone, too. He was quiet and withdrawn; he still granted wishes, but, like Peri, he held most of himself back. Seeing her boys’ personalities do a 180 felt like a gut punch.

Cosmo’s goddaughter sat on a park bench, eating a sandwich and petting a painted rock. Cosmo, meanwhile, was disguised as a squirrel. She caught herself looking for her future self before realizing she wouldn’t be there. That had to be why her boys were behaving this way.

Yet why would they be so morose if they’d willingly abandoned her?

Unless they hadn’t…

“Tell me about Wanda,” Hazel said, eating her french fries between sandwich bites. “You never talk about her.”

Cosmo flinched, turning away. Pain etched his features into someone she barely recognized. Wanda longed to propel herself at him and comfort him.

“Cosmo…” she whispered despondently. “I’m still here. I didn’t leave you. You left me.”

“She’s a prisoner in the Unseelie Court,” Cosmo said slowly, staring at the dirt beneath the bench through the slats. “Fairy World made a deal with the Unseelie Court that they wouldn’t interfere as long as they stopped with her.”

Cosmo gasped back a sob. “They wouldn’t let us rescue her, no matter what we tried.”

Wanda’s eyes brimmed with tears. “Oh, sweetie.”

“Didn’t you fight it?” Hazel asked, and Cosmo scowled.

“Of course,” he said. They looked up as a brown-haired boy walked by with a purple squirrel beside him. Wanda recognized Peri/Poof and flinched when she saw Cosmo’s expression falter before agony flitted across his features.

“Peri went nuts when the Council granted the Unseelie Court access to parts of Anti-Fairy World,” Cosmo said. “Especially when they let them keep Wanda.”

“That’s not right! I wish--”

Cosmo cut her off. “Our magic doesn’t interfere with Unseelie magic. The only ones who could help were Anti-Cosmo and Anti-Wanda.”

“So?” Hazel snapped, reminding Wanda of Timmy. A bitter smile crossed her lips. “Then let’s summon them!”

“We can’t,” Peri said as his godson stopped at the bench. “Anti-Wanda died due to Asmodeus’s meddling. And Anti-Cosmo went insane afterward.”

Cosmo nodded, tears spilling down his cheeks. Wanda reached for her wand to jump across time and space, only for Ozymandias to laugh cruelly.

“Peri was locked up for ‘counseling’ with me for years afterward,” Cosmo added.

“Is she still there?” Hazel demanded.

“So what if she is?” the godson, Dev, said coldly. “They just explained that they can do nothing about it.”

“I’m not going to take that sitting down!” Hazel proclaimed, springing to her feet.

“You don’t have a choice,” Dev sneered. “It’s already been, what? Fifteen years? She’s probably dead by now.”

The callous way Dev spoke sent chills down Wanda’s spine. Cosmo and Peri glanced away; Cosmo was suppressing tears. Peri, however, glared at Dev.

“We’ll find a way,” Peri said, but Wanda wasn’t sure whether he was trying to soothe himself, Cosmo, or Hazel. Dev didn’t seem to care one way or another.

“She’s not dead,” Cosmo said after a few minutes’ silence. “I’d know if she were dead. But…”

“‘But?’” Dev, Hazel, and Peri repeated.

“I haven’t felt much from her in years because Anti-Fairy is so much further from Earth than Fairy World,” Cosmo admitted. “I only know she’s still alive, and she’s numb.”

“Why would she let herself be tortured for that long?” Dev asked. Wanda wasn’t sure whether he was riling the fairies up intentionally or just being callous.

“Instead of what?” Peri asked testily.

“Trying to escape,” Dev said. Hazel looked confused; Cosmo and Peri looked stung. Cosmo burst into loud sobs and buried his face in Hazel’s thigh. Peri, by contrast, went cold. She’d seen it before from her father. Peri had learned how to compartmentalize his emotions. She shivered.

“She did,” Cosmo said once he could speak again. “Try to escape, I mean. Permanently.”

“What?” Peri said, staring at his father. “What do you mean? You didn’t tell me this.”

“I didn’t want to upset you,” Cosmo mumbled. He rubbed his left arm, where the tally marks were on her. Tears streaked her cheeks. “She tried to escape, but Asmodeus caught her and made an example out of her.”

The blood drained from Dev’s and Peri’s faces.

“What the hell,” Dev snapped. “Why didn’t Jorgen or the Council stop them?”

“Acceptable losses,” Peri said dully. “That was their explanation. Dad, why didn’t you tell me Mom tried…”

Peri trailed off, and the anguish on his face prompted her to again reach for a wand she didn’t possess.

“Oh, sugar…” she whispered; her heart ached. She wondered how long Cosmo had kept her attempted suicide from their son. Sobs wracked her body.

“That’s bullshit,” Dev snapped. Wanda’s lips twitched into a weak smile. Despite his earlier comments, she sensed some of Timmy’s stubbornness in Dev. He was as outraged as Timmy would’ve been, and it was bittersweet. While she was glad someone else saw what the Council was doing as intolerable, Peri looked devastated, like he’d lost her twice.

“Wanda would’ve lectured you about cursing,” Cosmo said faintly before bursting into loud sobs that had the children hushing Cosmo before he gave them away.

“She tried to kill herself,” Peri whispered, heartbroken. He looked like he wanted to flee but couldn’t think of a suitable location. Wanda would’ve given anything to throw herself at her son and husband and pacify them.

“I wish I knew what was going on with Wanda right now,” Dev demanded. He seemed part Timmy Turner and part Remy Buxaplenty. The arrogance reminded her of Remy, but the determination to right a wrong reminded her of Timmy. She sobbed harder, hugging herself.

“Should we show them?” Asmodeus said cruelly. “They would love an update, I’m sure.”

“Don’t,” she begged. She was mainly concerned for Cosmo’s mental state. Peri had adapted her father’s coping mechanisms, but Cosmo had none. Cosmo was so raw and vulnerable, and she couldn’t imagine how he’d remained sane without her.

Asmodeus snorted, waving her wand, and a screen appeared midair in front of the two children and fairies.

“No!” she cried, lunging for the wand. Ozymandias pinned her down and then ripped off her dress. Her chest ached as she struggled to conceal her nudity lest the children (or Peri) see it. Ozymandias laughed and punched her in the gut. Then he threw her onto her back before she had a chance to even consider stopping him. He spread her legs, and Wanda screamed, again lunging for the wand.

Asmodeus backhanded her until she tasted blood, and then he punched her in the face. Pressing her head down into the pillow, she was only aware of their intentions when Ozymandias penetrated her from behind. She shuddered and then screamed, choking, when Asmodeus took him from behind, too. The two crushed her into the mattress, and Asmodeus continued suffocating her. Occasionally, he let her catch her breath, only to smother her again. Her head spun as the two took turns on her.

Her body weakened, and she prayed for death. It felt like the men were finding new and creative ways to molest her, too. Her hips cracked and then broke, possibly shattered. She couldn’t draw enough breath to scream, even when one of them thrust into her injuries and exacerbated them. She wanted to cry but couldn’t breathe enough for that, either.

They had to be keeping her conscious via magic or she would’ve passed out by now. Multiple blows to her body, coupled with the men assaulting her, left her stunned and incapable of anything but enduring it. She was vaguely aware of hot liquid spurting across her back as the men cackled. One of them actually rubbed his cock against her ass in emphasis.

She couldn’t form coherent thoughts. Everything revolved around pain and smothering. Magic would sustain her, no matter how badly she wanted to die.

“What do you think?” Asmodeus sneered. “Is that enough of a show? Or does the crowd want more?”

“You’re a sick fuck, you know that?” Dev snapped.

“And you’re a child,” Asmodeus retorted. “A pitiful human child whose father never loved him and whose mother abandoned him when he was a baby. If Lorenzo ever tires of his eternal child sex slave, Timmy, I’ll be sure to find you.”

“Over my dead body,” Peri growled.

“What about your mother’s?” Asmodeus said, laughing. “You have no idea how much mileage I’ve gotten out of this bitch. God, she’s fucking amazing.”

Wanda’s consciousness faded; she couldn’t understand the growled words or the intended threats, but she heard Peri gulp. Someone grabbed her hands, and she tried to pull away. They held tighter and intertwined their fingers.

The fog lifted somewhat from her mind. The same someone holding her hand kissed it, and her heart raced.

“Cosmo?” she whispered. “It can’t be you. It can’t.”

Cosmo kissed her hand harder, and he smoothed back her hair. She passed out as Asmodeus tore something else.

-----------------------

Wanda’s eyes opened, and she gasped, cold for no apparent reason. Cosmo cradled her, and she sighed, relaxing against him. He wrapped one of her curls around his index finger, and she wanted nothing more than to lie curled up against him and ignore the world. Cosmo kissed her cheek, and then their lips met for a kiss that started out chaste and heated up. Blood rushed to her face and also between her legs. She wanted him badly, and she tried to avoid squirming.

“Again, if you two care to share a room elsewhere…” Anti-Cosmo said pointedly.

She could feel Cosmo’s erection through their mental link, and she knew she was wet. Thankfully, thousands of years of experience prevented her from acting on the impulse to stroke him and then poof off elsewhere so she could ride him into the sunset. Unfortunately, thinking about it and the flashback made staving off her desire painful. Holy fuck, she wanted to ride him. She avoided eye contact with him in the meantime.

“Maybe we should,” Wanda admitted sheepishly. She told herself she had better control than to jump Cosmo right now, but the problem wasn’t her self-control. It was how badly Asmodeus and his crew had damaged the Bond between her and Cosmo. It wanted reaffirmation again, and she wanted Cosmo to show her how much he loved her.

Asmodeus snorted, making Wanda’s stomach squirm. Cosmo blasted him in the head, and Asmodeus sneered, ducking the shot at the last possible second. Wanda held onto Cosmo before he tore after Asmodeus like she knew he wanted to. She strove to hold onto the amorous mood instead of succumbing to sorrow again. She tried to think about being with Cosmo, not what Asmodeus had done to her.

Shutting her eyes, she focused on Cosmo caressing and peppering her with kisses. He slid his fingers lower in her mind, and color flooded her cheeks.

“We’ll be right back,” she promised before she lost her nerve. Holding up her wand, she brought herself and Cosmo to their bedroom. Her heart pounded, and she pushed Cosmo into the mattress, perhaps more aggressively than she’d intended. She wanted to dominate him, and she needed to seize the initiative before she lost that, too.

Cosmo had no qualms with her taking the lead, and when she kissed him, he wrapped his arms and legs around her. She gasped, uncertain whether she wanted to undress them the magical or mundane way. She wasn’t sure she wanted to wait for the latter, and she was pretty sure she’d tear Cosmo’s shirt off him otherwise.

Cosmo solved that problem for her, and she pressed herself against him. He caressed her wings with one hand, and the other squeezed her butt gently. She ground against him and then straddled him, sitting up so he could enter her. Cosmo sat up, too, and they kissed gently at first but more passionately as he thrust into her. His magic danced along her skin and within her, stroking and rubbing against her sensitive areas. She was light-headed, and she wanted both to conquer and pleasure him. Her heart pounded, and he kissed her harder, their tongues sliding against each other as he moved in and out of her. She moaned, especially when he buried his hand in her curls. She sucked on his tongue and wrapped her legs around his waist so he could penetrate as deeply as possible.

“Cos…” she whispered.

He shifted from kissing her on the lips to biting and sucking on the bite. She might’ve cursed softly, but she wasn’t sure. Instead, Cosmo used his magic to heighten her pleasure, too, and she closed her eyes to concentrate on him inside of her and his hands stroking her breasts. She trembled with desire and satisfaction and never wanted this moment to end.

“I love you,” Cosmo murmured, hitting a sweet spot that prompted her to scream his name. She shuddered happily and sent him a mental sensation of sucking his length. Cosmo shuddered, too, and it was too much for him. He came inside of her, and she laughed--he was always overly excitable. Still, his orgasm prompted hers, and she let herself scream it out even as she tried to melt into him.

“I love you, too, hon,” she whispered, hoarse from screaming. They lay there for a minute, and she kissed him slowly on the lips. He rolled off of her (to her slight disappointment), and they cuddled.

“Feeling better?” he teased.

“You know I am,” she said, smiling. She stroked his sweaty hair. “I love you so much, pudding. So much.”

“I love you, too,” he murmured, pressing against her. “I love being with you, too.”

She smiled wider. “I’m not complaining.”

She closed her eyes and relaxed against him. Cosmo tightened his grip on her, and, for a while, she pretended Asmodeus and his crew didn’t exist. It was only her and Cosmo, and that was all that mattered.

The moment didn’t last that long.

“Timmy and Poof!” she yelped, bolting upright. Cosmo was already dozing off.

“What about them?” Cosmo mumbled, rolling onto his side but still pressed up against her. “They can wait.”

“Get up, you idiot,” she said, though she wasn’t snapping at him, just lightly scolding him. Cosmo whined.

“I don’t wanna go back,” he said, then shot her a lascivious smile. “Unless you wanted another round?”

Wanda flushed scarlet. “I do, but…we’ve probably been gone long enough.”

“I don’t know…” Cosmo said. “I could do with eating out.”

Wanda couldn’t blush any hotter, but she felt blood rushing elsewhere, too. Her hand slipped down to pump him.

“Okay,” she said, her voice breathy with desire. “But just this once.”

“Yay!” he said, shifting on top of her and then switching their positions so he could part her legs and slip his tongue between her lips. Wanda’s breath caught when he licked her.

“Just…this…once…” she said and then lost her thought. It was challenging to think about anything else with his fingers and mouth where it was.

However, she wasn’t one to ignore a favor or ignore reciprocity. As he flicked her clitoris with the tip of his tongue and she moaned, she drew him into her mouth. She shivered, banishing memories of doing this against her will. Cosmo stopped, prompting her to whine.

“Are you okay?” he said. He straightened up and sat opposite her. “I won’t do anything you’re not comfortable with.”

“I volunteered,” she said and winced, hating how small she felt. Tears burned in the corners of her eyes, and she was ashamed. This was supposed to be something she loved doing; she wanted to make him happy and vice versa. It shouldn’t be tainted with what the others had done to her. It shouldn’t…but it was.

Helpless sobs shook her; worse, she could feel memories threatening to sweep her under, specifically last night with Lorenzo hurting Timmy and Asmodeus and Ozymandias forcing her to watch while they attacked her, too. Soon, she was bereft, latching onto Cosmo like a life preserver. She straddled him, but it was nothing sexual this time. She needed to be as close as physically possible. Cosmo squeezed her until she heard bones creak.

“I’m sorry, hon…” she whispered, feeling broken. It wasn’t fair. She loved pleasuring Cosmo. Asmodeus shouldn’t be able to steal that away. She could barely breathe because of the sobs.

“I’m not mad at you,” he whispered into her curls. “I love you.”

“I love you, too,” she said, but she couldn’t speak because she was hysterical. "Cosmo…”

She couldn’t choke anything else out. Cosmo nuzzled her; she was warmed by his sympathy, though she knew she shouldn’t have been surprised. A small smile creased her lips. She could still feel him inside of her, and, unlike with her trauma, warmth blossomed in her cheeks and between her legs. Cosmo noticed, too, and, very gently, he slipped his fingers between her legs to caress her. Her breath caught in her throat.

“Don’t worry about it right now,” he said. “You can do it when you’re ready.”

Then he lowered himself again and slid his head between her legs.

“Besides,” he said, grinning impishly. “I’m not complaining.”

Wanda moaned as he resumed; he was insanely good at this, and she found it difficult to focus on anything but his tongue and fingers. She melted beneath him, and she knew he loved it and the effect he had on her. It bothered her slightly that she couldn’t reciprocate, but that feeling faded as Cosmo worked on her. Soon, it became impossible to think about anything but him.

-----------------------------------------

He knew they had to return to everyone but was reluctant to move Wanda. Her freeze-up earlier terrified him. He wanted to be furious that Asmodeus and his cronies had ruined something private between them, but he was scared for her. Wanda typically bounced back much better than this. The Unseelie Court had caused serious damage. He hated the idea of her hurting, especially when she was trying to help him.

At least when he’d been pleasuring her, she hadn’t noticed him jerking off. That would’ve ruined the moment.

Cosmo cleaned them up and studied her. Her forehead was unlined, and she seemed at ease. He kissed her on the lips and then dressed them again, albeit reluctantly. He didn’t see a reason to wake her yet, but they should probably return to the others.

“I love you,” he murmured, and she smiled in her sleep.

He was sick with hatred for the Unseelie Court, and he cradled her to his chest. “I love you so much, baby.”

Somehow, he’d make the Unseelie Court pay for what it had done.

---------------------------

Asmodeus knew he’d broken her again when Cosmo and Wanda returned. Though they were closer physically, and he held her hand, Wanda was withdrawn. Anti-Cosmo, Timmy, and Poof shot Asmodeus accusatory looks while Cosmo ran damage control. Asmodeus stifled a laugh and plunged Wanda back into another nightmare.

------------------------------

Lorenzo was gearing up for his second round, and Wanda kept trying to fall unconscious. Asmodeus wouldn’t let her. Instead, he forced her to sit and watch as Lorenzo plowed Timmy and laughed. Timmy had screamed himself hoarse, and blood slicked his thighs and buttocks. Wanda continued to struggle against the paralysis, which was annoying. Every time Asmodeus or Ozy let her have free will for a minute, she sought to save her godson.

“You can’t save him, bitch? Don’t you get it?” Asmodeus sneered. He flipped her onto her stomach and shoved the wand handle inside her. She clenched her teeth shut. He knew she was trying to contain her misery, both to console Timmy and because she didn’t want Asmodeus to have the satisfaction of knowing how much agony she was in. Tears streaked her cheeks, but she was sobbing quietly as if afraid to draw attention to herself. That wouldn’t do.

He needed to find something more powerful to hurt her with. He snapped his fingers and grinned, yanking the wand out. Instead, he forced Timmy onto the floor on his knees, and Lorenzo grinned wickedly, knowing what his master had in mind. His penis, still dripping with cum, he shoved it into Timmy’s mouth. Only magic compelled Timmy to comply and service him. Wanda’s breathing was harsh as she watched the anti-fairy rape Timmy.

“Stop…” she whispered, her voice straining against the spell. “Hurt me instead. Do whatever you want. Just leave him alone.”

“Are you begging now?” Asmodeus asked, vastly amused. “Pleading for us to stop hurting your precious godson?”

“Yes!” she croaked. Lorenzo snorted and backhanded her across the face.

“It’s a shame I’m not interested in women, bitch, because I’d make you see whether you or Timmy can make me cum faster,” Lorenzo sneered. Wanda shuddered, dripping with cold sweat. She struggled to move muscles on her own and break free, and Lorenzo laughed as Timmy sucked his length. Wanda screamed; Asmodeus stomped on her back and then jumped up and down until he heard bones break.

“I don’t need to heal you to fuck you,” Asmodeus whispered in her ear. Wanda bit her lower lip to keep from screaming again, and, in response, Asmodeus yanked her up and penetrated her from behind. He barely fit in front--from behind, he always tore her apart. It was also excruciating, and he fucked her while he held her head steady and her gaze fixed on Timmy and Lorenzo.

Timmy’s gaze slid when he could breathe, and he glanced at Wanda miserably.

Asmodeus laughed and then groaned when he tried to hilt himself in her. He was too large, and he caused anal fissures when he took her like this. Wanda refused to scream again, which was irritating as hell. Asmodeus responded by flicking the wand. There wouldn’t be an immediate effect, but Lorenzo would get it soon enough.

The anti-fairy orgasmed in Timmy’s face and then glanced at Asmodeus curiously. Asmodeus inclined his head, and Lorenzo’s eyes widened before he started snickering. Wanda shivered, and Asmodeus inclined his head again toward Lorenzo and Ozy.

They both shoved themselves into her mouth, and Asmodeus laughed.

“This is how you can spare your precious godson,” Asmodeus told her. “He can watch us fuck you into the ground.”

--------------------------

Wanda couldn’t breathe for the sobs that erupted from Asmodeus inflicting trauma on her. Her grip tightened on Cosmo’s hand momentarily, and she yanked away. Cosmo snarled, rounding on Asmodeus. Asmodeus clapped sarcastically--he hadn’t expected the idiot to understand the culprit immediately.

“You have to actively control me, bitch, or I still hold the reins,” Asmodeus sneered. He illustrated this by standing despite the leash. Anti-Cosmo growled, too, blasting him back to the disgusting ground. Anti-Wanda’s eyes narrowed, and she floated closer to her counterpart. Wanda looked like she wanted to shrink into herself.

“If only that traitor hadn’t broken the geas,” Asmodeus lamented. “You’re so good at sucking people off, you know.”

Wanda couldn’t blanch any further, but her gaze roved everywhere like she was looking for somewhere to hide. Asmodeus snickered, snapping his fingers. A once concealed building materialized, and Unseelie fairies hung out the windows of the Lotus Hotel’s sister construct.

Cosmo poofed closer to Wanda to hold her. Asmodeus took one last parting shot.

He showed her an image of an alternate timeline in which she’d never returned and how devastated Peri had been, along with how Lorenzo had turned Timmy into his cock sleeve. Wanda gasped, trying not to weep, and Asmodeus followed it up with her watching Lorenzo rape Timmy while multiple men piled on her.

“You’ll never escape me,” Asmodeus hissed. “And you know you love it.”

“Wanda?” Cosmo said. She must’ve blocked him out.

Asmodeus cupped himself and then unzipped his pants to stroke his length. He willed Wanda to stare at him and remember how good it felt for her mouth on his cock. Wanda shuddered again, trying to break eye contact, and Cosmo had had enough.

Though Cosmo was unaware of it, the two fairies blasted Asmodeus back in tandem with his anti-self. Asmodeus sneered, using his cape to fend them off in time for Poof and Anti-Wanda to retaliate. Asmodeus collapsed, feeling boneless, but the emotional damage was done.

Wanda vanished.

“There’s nowhere to run,” Asmodeus said when he could breathe again. “Any poofing away from here leads right back into the penthouse suite, where your worst nightmares await.”

“What do you mean by that?” Timmy demanded.

“What did you do to her?” Cosmo added, glaring hatefully.

“What she was born to do--” Asmodeus said. Cosmo punched him in the face and, for once, took Asmodeus off guard. He hadn’t anticipated Cosmo to physically strike him. Before he could recover, Cosmo slammed his head into the ground repeatedly. Dazed, Asmodeus tried to fend him off when three wand blasts froze him temporarily.

“Don’t kill him yet,” Anti-Cosmo said. “He still has to pay for what he’s done.”

“Where did Wanda go?” Timmy asked Cosmo desperately.

“I don’t know…” Cosmo admitted, looking dejected. “I hope she’s okay.”

“She won’t be,” Asmodeus said once he could breathe again. He laughed. “That’s one thing I can guarantee.”

--------------------------------------

Cosmo and Peri were godparents, and Asmodeus used a combination of dark magic and glamor and pilfered Fairy World magic to disguise Wanda as his concubine in Dimmadelphia. Wanda didn’t know what had happened--she’d been in Fairy World with her family, and now she was here, on a leash with Asmodeus holding the strings. They were at the Founder’s Day festival, and Asmodeus let his hands roam over her body.

One of the first things he’d done was to cut off her tongue with an iron dagger. He couldn’t block her telepathy with Cosmo, but he’d broken her spirit enough that she wasn’t tempted. Cosmo wouldn’t want her anymore, not after all of this. She was a shell of a fairy--she knew her worth, and it was nothing.

Asmodeus paraded her around, knowing that Fairy World and her family had abandoned her. As for Timmy, Lorenzo had kept him around as a lover. Despite Timmy no longer being a child, Lorenzo hadn’t lost interest in dominating him. Occasionally, Asmodeus brought the duo out to crush what was left of Wanda’s heart.

An excitable little black girl bounced up and down in front of Cosmo, disguised as a human, and she had no temptation to call out to him. Instead, she turned her head away in shame. Asmodeus tightened her collar and then electrocuted her to remind her who called the shots. Yet, as they walked away, she sensed someone’s gaze.

Her heart clenched in her chest.

Peri.

Peri, disguised as a dog beside his godson Dev, looked up at her. She cringed, wondering if the makeup, hair dye, and general dark appearance concealed her true identity. She had no reason to suspect Peri or Cosmo would recognize her. Yet Peri’s gaze lingered.

“Come on, bitch,” Asmodeus growled. “No time for fun and games tonight. I have to meet my brother Lex for the celebrations. You know you’re the star of the show.”

He yanked harder on her leash, and Peri barked, growling low in his throat. Cosmo turned his head.

“What is it now?” Dev groused. “It’s just some random woman.”

Their eyes met, and Dev looked at Peri’s strange coiffure and then Wanda’s. He stilled and grabbed Hazel’s wrist to keep her from running off.

“Do you know her?” Hazel asked Peri.

Asmodeus laughed, sidling up behind Wanda and grinding his hips into her backside. Wanda blanched, and her gaze met Cosmo’s for the first time in fifteen years. Recognition flared in his eyes; perhaps Peri had gotten a better look than Cosmo.

“It can’t be…” Peri breathed. “Mom.”

Asmodeus glared, waving her wand to transport them elsewhere. She knew there would be serious trouble if Peri and Cosmo had recognized her. The glamour could only accomplish so much.

“You fucking whore,” Asmodeus snarled. They were behind the giant Doug Dimmadome statue. He backhanded her, and she tripped over a bench behind her. Asmodeus scoffed, yanking her up and then pinning her on her stomach. Her insides curdled. Such abuse was usually a prelude to his favorite activity.

She knew she could regain her tongue if she were reunited with Cosmo and the Bond magic had a chance to heal her. Asmodeus, obviously, couldn’t let that happen. Instead, he flung up her dress and shoved her legs apart.

“Who are you?” Hazel snapped, prompting Wanda and Asmodeus to turn their heads. Dev, Peri, and Cosmo stood a few feet away, and Wanda shivered.

“Wanda?” Cosmo said quietly, sounding hopeful. She turned her head as tears burned her eyes. For brief moments, she lost her mind. It was better than constant lucidity. She prayed for insanity now.

“Who. Are. You?” Hazel demanded. She glanced at Peri and Cosmo. “Is it really her?”

Cosmo and Peri nodded. Dev frowned, staring at his godfather.

“I thought you said she died,” Dev said.

“I…” Peri hung his head in shame. “I hoped she was dead rather than being his puppet for fifteen years.”

He raised his head and glowered. “Don’t you dare touch her.”

“Puppet how?” Hazel said. Cosmo, Peri, and Dev looked away. Wanda was slightly disturbed that Dev had picked up on the problem when he couldn’t be more than ten. Despite everything, she wanted to protect the children.

“A fuck puppet,” Asmodeus laughed. “She’ll do whatever I want, whenever I want. Isn’t that right, bitch?”

“I wish--” Dev started, and Asmodeus raised his hand to slap him. Peri arrested his movement with his wand, and Ozymandias crept out from behind the bushes. Wanda yelped since she couldn’t form words to warn Dev specifically. Ozy grabbed Dev from behind, prompting Peri to turn his back on her and face the more immediate threat.

Cosmo glanced back at Peri, Dev, and Ozy briefly, and Asmodeus laughed, using Wanda’s stolen wand to knock Hazel out.

“Get on your knees,” Asmodeus said. He sounded almost bored as he unzipped his pants and let them fall to the ground. She shuffled forward and tried to shut her ears to her family. Silent tears shook her frame as she did what she was trained to do, the only thing she was good at anymore.

She sucked him off.

Asmodeus yanked her hair to force her to draw his entire length down her throat and compelled her to massage his balls and grip his ass. She shuddered; she’d long since abandoned hope of rescue or death. Instead, she let herself go hollow inside. It was her only defense left, pitiful as it was.

A shell couldn’t feel pain. A shell didn’t have a family, whether they cared about her or not. She wasn’t a fairy anymore. At least that way, she was free; no one could hurt feelings she’d carved out of herself a decade and a half ago.

There wasn’t enough left of her to hurt, she told herself.

But she closed her eyes when she glanced at Peri anyway. She didn’t want him to see how far she’d fallen.

------------------

Peri’s memories of his mother had always been scattered and vague. Cosmo seldom talked about her, either, and Peri might have used a spell to accelerate his aging so he could become an adult and throw himself into work instead. He had a permanent limp from Asmodeus, but that had never bothered him as much as Wanda’s fate.

Asmodeus was gone again, and Peri didn’t know if he was relieved or disturbed. Dev was frozen.

“Dev?” Peri asked quietly.

“That monster…” Dev growled, balling his fists.

“Huh?” Hazel said. Asmodeus’s cohorts had vanished when Asmodeus did.

“My father, I mean--” Dev froze and said quietly, inaudible to a human, “my father’s done that shit to women, too.”

Peri felt sick. Cosmo hadn’t rushed after Asmodeus or Wanda. Instead, his father sat, shell-shocked, on the ground.

Wanda had looked awful. His mother was emaciated, her expression dead like she’d lost all hint of hope and happiness, and if he hadn’t felt that instant magical pull, he’d never have recognized her. The same must’ve been true for Cosmo, too.

“Wanda…” Cosmo whispered and then keened like a wolf, throwing his head back. “Wanda!”

“We’ll find her,” Dev said in a rough voice. “I promise.”

“How?” Peri said, and Dev grimaced.

“My dad has connections,” Dev said, shuddering. “We’ll start there.”
