R2 the Un-sung Hero
Just watched "New Hope" you gotta love that film despite the cheesyness in parts ^_~ R2 is such the un-sung hero, there are so many spots in those films where he saves everyones lives....I found a new one in "New Hope" a fire breaks out on the Falcon and Solo whispers "please...hold together" to his ship and R2 comes along and extinguishes it, he also stops the trash compactor on the death star and...if not for him the rebels would never have aquired the plans to the death star in the first place. Among other scenes R2 also allows them to escape from Cloud City in Bespin including a rather impressive and stylish smoke screen just to show off and I loose track of how many times R2 fixes Lukes wasted X-Wing...no wait...theres more....he also saves everyone in Phantom Menace when they escape through the trade federation ships, he braves the wings and fixes it there and then, right out in the open, exposed...he is the true hero of the Star Wars movies and credit should be awarded to the little unit ^_^ Bastards dont give a shit about him at the end of New Hope they all run off arm in arm and leave him in the hands of the Technicians.....R2....I salute you!!
