Disclaimer - The subject of this post is in every single way possible, A JOKE! I am not dating anyone nor have the "hots" for anyone.

So now that we are all on the same page, HAPPY HOLIDAYS! I know I am posting this 2 days after Christmas but you will all just have to deal with my tardiness. I hope that all of you in the land of internet had a truly amazing holiday season with friends, family, and loved ones. I had a great Christmas with my family. Was pretty simple this year, just Mom, Dad, Sarah (my sister) and I. I followed in the habit I started at Thanksgiving of helping with the cooking. Needless to say I think I can now cook a turkey - be it baked or deep fried!

Got lots of great gifts from the family and am very happy to now have my new computer and all of its components that we ordered back in November. I was starting to go a bit stir crazy with the lack of a stable computer to use. I think everyone enjoyed their gifts I got for them too.

I guess I should do a life update too. Life is good-ish. I guess you could say work is in a "situation-normal" kind of routine. Getting between 20 and 30 hours a week with no real slow downs so I am happy about that. My supervisor is giving me more responsibility and letting me tackle things on my own which is really nice. I need that kind of experience to make decisions and run with them so I don't always wait around for a direct order of what to do. Other than that it has been REALLY good to have my sister home from South Africa on her study abroad adventures. I realized while she was gone how much I love the shit out of that kid. I mean I have been really close to her the last few years as we have both got older and grown more mature but having her not accessible for 4 months really opened my eyes. So it has been really good to have her here at home with the family and hanging out again. She is taking off tomorrow to head back to Santa Cruz for school but at least she is a phone call away again (she was a phone call away in South Africa too but their phone system isn't as good as ours so it was a hassle most of the time). I have decided to go back to school this spring to the University of South Alabama and get my second bachelors degree in Information Technology and Graphic Design. With the lack of full time work and my frustration at finding a job in my degree I decided to go back and get some more edumucation. I am looking forward to this because my GPA for my degree from SDSU was absolute crap and will not help me get into a masters program so I am hoping to do a hell of a lot better GPA with this one and use it towards my masters degree.

The only other big thing I have been dealing with is finding out why my mom has been sick and so out of it lately. She was diagnosed with lung cancer in November in her upper right lung. She is starting treatment on Monday so hopefully it will help. I am doing okay with it so far, as is the rest of the family, so I am really glad about that.

So with all of that out of me I have also decided to take a more proactive and positive stance on 2010. I realize that my dislike for Mobile, Alabama gets me down and doesn't really allow me to grow as a person. I am going to try a few things to keep myself busy, in addition to work and school. One of these things is posting more regularly on here. So if you see me slowing down on my posts, tell me and I will post up something. With all that said, I bid 2009 a fond farewell. It has been a year of life, death, sickness, and greatness. I have no regrets and am looking forward to the future.
