I suddenly feel the urge to write
updates -
working here and there. its starting to slow down again and that is not making me happy. the less i work the longer i have to sit in this god forsaken shit hole of a state. I have decided that I do not want to stay here a day longer than is needed. I lived here all of 2008 and that was fine, but after going back to San Diego and living there for 6 months before returning it showed me one thing that has made me open my eyes. NOTHING HAS CHANGED! Not one single thing. I guess i should have expected that, most of the people i have met here seem to think that if the south were to "rise again" they would win and be truly free. I laugh at that thought. In my opinion, fuck them all. let them succeed the union and see how long they last. That will be something worth grabbing a keg and box of popcorn to watch on the news.
other than that nothing much is going on. no love interests (yeah i know, real big surprise there) in my life. Just working, sitting online, drinking beer (WAY to much of it!), and playing video games. I am really hoping to have my credit card paid off my new years so I can start planning a trip out west OR just save up outright and move back.
been watching lots of football this season. More college ball than pro but both are on my weekend to-do lists. Been getting behind the Cal Golden Bears, the Oregon Ducks, the Tennessee Vols, and the LSU Tigers. Its hard to watch football in Alabama cause everyone only wants to see either Alabama (Roll Tide) or Auburn (Tigers) and I just dont give a shit about either of them. Found a cool sports bar up the street (Buffalo Wild Wings) that has a great beer selection and has almost every major game on various TV's so I like having that around.
one thing that has really, and i mean really, pissed me off this football season is the way both the NCAAF and NFL are protecting quarterbacks like they are fucking gods. Now dont get me wrong, Tim Tebow's concussion a few weeks back was bad and I do hope he makes a full recovery (although i was pissed he beat LSU last night) but the way the officials are now protecting the QB is just fucking retarded. Some of you (ok, probably like 1 person) know I played football in high school and was a offensive line man. Because of my own experience I fail to see how on earth a QB's head injury is ANY different or ANY more dangerous than what a line man goes through. And they do that day in day out - how many times does a QB get sacked?! GRRR.. so much bullshit.
so yeah.. thats all that is really going on with me. Figured id post up since I got peeps "nudging" me =P
