Macbook Pro hardcase dilemma

May 25, 2012 17:01

i spend the last 30mins give or take a few trying to remove the top lid of my macbook pro hard case...i freaked when i couldn't do remove it the first few times i try because the latch wasn't budging at all, and i didn't want to keep the case on forever, because i have a sticker design on my mac. so as usual i freaked for about a few minutes and started googling like crazy, because really what else can i do. after googling for a few mins i figured out that i apparently don't have latches on my case or at least i don't think so, therefore the video people posted on youtube is completely useless to me. but thank god i did't give up, after reading through some forum i found out that i could use a credit card to remove the case.

for those of you who is wondering how, here is the steps to remove the top casing, the bottom case is easy to remove so i didn't panic on it:
1. slip your credit card in between the case and macbook next to one of the tabs/latches
2. slowly run your CC down one of the tab/latch, so it'll pops/snap off. do the same thing for all the tab.latches on one side of your case. (i chose the top tabs of my case)
3. after get the tabs/latches on one side of your case off it'll be easy from here on to just slide off the last few tabs/latches. if you still can't slide the case off easy, repeat steps 1 and 2.

P.S. for those who do not really get me instructions, here is a site that will explain it better. MacRumors: news and rumors you care about.
