Light and Dark - drabble

A/N: for nightrider101 who's flying off to Germany and to dust off the LJ a little.
Hands thrust deep into his trouser pockets and coat billowing out behind, he was braced defiantly on the outcropping of rock overlooking the endless ocean.
He stood there with eyes half closed, his face jutting forward, as if challenging the forces of nature.
Angry waves dashed against jagged rocks and split into clouds of fine mist that settled around him, reflecting captured sunlight and creating a swirling display of colors.
Jack watched mesmerized, unaware of the dark clouds looming.
The storm broke suddenly.
Lightning flashed. Thunder crashed.
As the sun disappeared into the encroaching darkness-
So too did the Doctor.
