His previous incarnation would have laughed at him. He could almost hear that baritone voice thick with sarcasm, nattering on about his current narcissistic boyish looks, over abundance of childlike energy - well when hadn't he had that - and his infatuation with a particular human female.
Of course it was his former self's fault or rather his insight that had brought them together. He'd made more concessions with Rose than anyone else throughout his numerous lifetimes, and never regretted a moment.
He was willing to leave her, a part of him.
He only wished he had more than memories for himself.
