This is beautiful. It's not just smut; it's friendship and love and understanding and companionship. It's an acknowledgement of how important Jack's become to the Doctor - and, too, Jack's starting to see that the Doctor is important to him.
I really, really liked this: the Doctor tossed his jacket over the study chair, shedding the armour that seemed an integral part of the legend's persona. Without it, the Doctor had suddenly become vulnerable, touchable, no longer shielded.
It gave Jack pause for a moment.
Yes, the unattainable Time Lord suddenly appears very 'human', almost.
I loved the sense of mutual trust they attained at the end. Just lovely!
I'm still a bit shocked. This was so out of my normal box, so to speak, that I was very nervous about it seeing the light of day. But Melissa convinced me it wasn't totally rubbish, and I was still feeling bad for not fulfilling your prompts completely.
That was gorgeous :) Some of the best smutfics, in my opinion, are the ones that are more about the emotion, about the sensuality of the moment, rather than Tab A goes into Slot B. This was a perfect example of that.
I really like the way you have them hesitant and wary to begin with -- very suitable for both their natures. I think you'be got them both very much in-character here.
In the first part, I love the image of Jack firing up the TARDIS for a hasty exit, and the Doc running flat-out with an army at his back. Also very in-character, come to that . . .! XD
Wow. This is the third time I've read this now, and I love it more with each reading.
Flustered was not a word that Jack would have used to describe himself, ever. He'd often created that emotion in others, but had never been on the receiving end.
