So as time has been running out as a DC resident, I've been trying to catch up on doing things I've been meaning to do. A rundown of the past week or so:
-Saw Mysterious Skin at the local indie cinema, E Street Cinema. Cried a lot.
-Visited the Smithsonian Natural History Museum, seeing the Hope Diamond and other gems. And big dinasours.
-Visited the Smithsonian Amerian History Museum, and saw Dorothy's ruby slippers, the first ladies' dresses, and a Slave-song singing trio.
-Drank an Irish Coffee at Kramer Books
-Played at a ghetto waterpark in Virginia called "Splashdown" but enjoyed my time and ate Dip 'N Dots
-Ate at a fondue restaurant called The Melting Pot, and had 5 courses including Wisconsin Trio cheese, Fiesta Cheese, Cheddar Cheese, and a dessert of melted smores chocolate, milk chocolate, and white chocolate, with dippers of cinnamon covered marshmellows, apples, pretzels, and more!
-Visited Mr. Bush's house, the White House
-Toured the International Spy Museum--Very cool! ok yea it sounds nerdy, but trust me. Its the only not-free museum in DC and its totally worth it.
-All-you-can-drink Mamosa Brunch at the St. Gregory Hotel
-Shopped at the Eastern Market, an open air Indian market
-Went to an Italian Festival downtown
-Saw the play Lady Windemere's Fan, starring Dixie Carter
Coming up: tonight, a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and the next two days, I'm a delegate for the College Democrats National Convention
