On Friday me and Steve went to Taste of Saigon. I had curry chicken and Steve had Caremel chicken. After dinner we went to Ecite dance club. The music wasn't that good but we danced a bit.
On Saturday morning me, Steve, my parents, and my aunt, uncle and cousin went to Harrys Tap Room for Brunch. I had a mimosa, crab soup and french toast with bananas. It was really good. After brunch we went back to my house to open presents and eat cake and Cindy & Ken came over. Then me and Steve went to church and then met Ken & Cindy at Pizza Unos. For dinner me and Steve shared a asian salad. Then we went to hear the Glengarry Bhoys. The concert was great. I went with Cindy, Ken and my fiance Steve. It was lots of fun. Lotas of people were dancing even though it was really hot.

Weather: Perfect
This past Saturday we found ourselves traveling all the way down to Virginia (as Miranda is learning, Virginia is pretty far away) for one night at the great Herndon Festival. We departed the home base of Cornwall at about 7:30pm Eastern Standard Time on Friday evening. Graham took care of most of the driving along with Zig. I got behind the wheel just before Baltimore for the last little leg of our journey.
We arrived at our hotel (a Marriott - always nice) at about 7am and thanks to a phone call by Graham we were able to check into our rooms early. Very exhausted from the long drive we all crawled into bed (seperate beds of course) for a nice long nap. And after a shower and some coffee we were all ready to make our way to the festival to put on a great show.
The 26th annual Herndon Festival took place over four days this year starting with evening performances Thursday night and finishing with performances Sunday night. We were fortunate enough to land the headlining spot on Saturday night and what a great turnout it was. The festival is said to attract over 90,000 people from the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, and more than a few of them showed up for our show on Saturday.
The main stage looked out onto a beautiful hillside lined with trees and covered with people in lawn chairs. The only drawback to the positioning of the stage was the fact that we as performers were looking directly into the setting sun - especially bad for us fairer skinned people. Nevertheless, armed with sunglasses and sunscreen we took the stage and played two sets to ever increasing cheering and excitement coming from the crowd. Directly following the conclusion of our show there was a spectacular fireworks display - what a great way to finish off the night.
It was back to the hotel to wind down for a moment and grab a few hours of sleep before the long drive home. But we made it, all safe and sound, and raring to go again next weekend. Thanks to everyone who helped with our merch table and everyone who helped us lug gear around - it wouldn't be possible without you.
Another great weekend behind us. Until next time - I believe it's Ohio,
