When people fall in love and then part, it's almost near impossible to remain friends. Reasons for why things didn't work out or hurt feelings will always continue to surface and of course unanswered questions.
I know when Chris and I broke up, we stopped talking to each other not too long after that and to this day we still haven't said a word to each other. I often wonder how he's doing, if everything is alright, and if he's found his happiness, but I feel it would be better if I left him alone.
Try not to dwell on the past, or the fact that it's 'over'. Don't think of it as an end, but rather a begining. The healing process (for you both) can begin and hope for something new, something better (in time) will present itself. But when you are ready, of course. For now, focus on you, as you are clearly the most important thing.
