Immigration...
I have an opinion on the immigration issue which is probably going to get me reamed. The one option I heard of was to make the 11 million people in this country legal. Just like that. I think this would be a slap in the face to all the people who came here legally and became citizens legally.
I did not march on Monday. If that makes me a bad person then so be it. I know I am Puerto Rican but I just don't get it. I am also gay and when our rights are threatened there are not a million or so people marching all over the counrty. There is not a call for a nationwide boycott.
I did not grow up in a spanish household. My father left when I was 1. When I went to visit his family a few years ago they made fun of me for not being able to speak spanish. Like it was my fault my father left. They would say things in spanish and look at me and laugh. And then my father did his little disappearing trick again. So spare me all the 'your people' and 'well you should be angry' shit. I am not buying it. That is all.
