so, my june fiasco. what overall, broke my body down, made me sick, left me unemployed, has ended. i am moved into my new residence on Minor Ave, in Seatown, WA.
but let's take a closer look.
I am living currently in low income housing, which makes downtown living in seattle nearly affordable. I had all my paperwork turned in by mid June, and at this point, it took about 10 days, maybe a couple more for the compliance office to get back to me, and during this time, well, I was running out of time in my old residence, and was getting ready to just move down to Oregon...either that or be homeless. Well, the daily stress made me sick, ill, broke my body down, etc.
Finally, I got the news, I was approved, but by then, I doubted if I still wanted to move to Seattle. Amazing what happens when you are given too much time to think about alternatives. I found out I have great friends in Michigan & Ohio. Two different people offered me shelter for as long as I wanted, and another said I was free to move in if her boyfriend followed through on any of his threats to move his ass out of her trailer. So, through it all, I managed to feel some love.
Okay, move forward to two week ago or so...
So, I am supposed to move in Saturday, June 23rd, my little brother comes from Portland, movie truck is reserved, etc. Well, June 22nd, apartment complex calls, tells me their is no electricity in my new place. I can't move due to liability issues. Need to wait for power company to come and fix the shit.
so, my brother still comes up w/ his girlfriend. We end up partying, far too hard. I throw up for the first time in years. Dan is nearly dying for days. My brother is hung over terribly next day which faces him with 7 hours of driving. C'est le vie...didn't get enough stress out of my system when I am spilling my guts after too many drinks.
So, Tuesday, place is done & ready, so I get the moving truck Tuesday and Dan and I move everything into the moving truck. Next day, I get incredibly ill, cannot do a lick, so Friday, only 5 days ago, we move the rest of things into the new place in Seattle. Thing is, this can't even go smoothly, my friend Elishe, who was supposed to watch the truck while we were moving, disappears, she has yet to reappear, and Dan, luckily finds Tabatha to come and watch the truck while we move things in, and the only cost to me was dinner and a beer!
Thank God for Tabatha!
So Friday, by the time we were done, it is midnight. Go to the old place. Spend the night there with Velvet kitty. sleep on the floor. Freeze to death, but wake up early and move Velvet and some loose ends to the new place then come back and clean clean clean until it is time to leave for Portland for a concert w/ my brother.
