tired but happy
wow, what a long day. so i woke up at 5:15 this morning because i had jazz/rock rehearsal before school today. man, i was sooo dead but it went well anyways. the school day seemed to last forever, i just barely made it through my classes and they were only 35 minute classes today. i have to start getting more sleep. i passed out tons of salieri demos today at school and tons of little flyers with our website and other stuff on it. a bunch of my friends are helping me to promote at school as well which is wicked cool. thanks guys. yeah, so after school me and my bros from the jazz rock crew chilled and jammed and what not. we had the jazz concrt at 7:00 which although we didnt play our best still went well. the Riles Big Band orchestra played after us there, and they are so amazing. Theyre a pro jazz band that gigs all over the place and get this, their bass player Rich Appleman who is the chair of the bass department at Berklee college of music came up to me after the show and complimented me on my bass playing!!!! i was so flattered, i mean this guy is just phenominal and he complimented me! that just made my day. the guy is wicked cool and we talked about music and the standup bass for awhile and then he gave me his bussiness card and told me to get in touch with him. wow. soo cool. i just love playing jazz and i love playing the standup bass. so i guess overall today it was a good day. but im exhausted now and im gonna get some sleep. - peace out
