Ugh!

[Yeah, that's the sound you're greeted with as his Gear clatters to the floor. It seemed Soul was trying to tackle something on his Gear, when he was quite literally tackled himself -- by the head of his Gyarados, Dualscar, that's poking in through the window ( Read more... )

Today, actually.
Her birthday is today.
And I would be more than happy to assist in something like that.
As for what I'm sure she would like, it's more of a question of what I'm sure she wouldn't.
She lived on an island alone for quite a long time, away from civilization.
Anything you do for her will please her, I'm sure.
Not to mention it will be something done with you.
Though I can understand the sentiment behind wanting to do one thing.
What do you already have in mind?

what
today?? seriously?
wow okay i'm kind of bad with dates, sorry.
and that island thing is definitely stuff she's never shared with me, but i can always bug her about it later
anyway i was kind of thinking of taking her somewhere but there is a LOT of places to go in goldenrod. >:I
so i don't really know. shopping? pokemon catching??
there's a lot of stuff she likes to do but not a lot of it that we can do here.
well i mean maybe i could take her to a music store or something, i don't know.

It's nothing to apologize for.
And yes, alone on an island.
Well, if I were to take her on a date - personally speaking, mind you - it would likely be an afternoon date.
Lunch, ice cream, perhaps shopping but then she might wish to purchase all of the stuffed animals available.
A trip to the arcade would certainly be enjoyable for her, I'm sure.
I would likely pick up cute family movies to watch with her later that night, along with snacks.
I doubt she's ever had a real movie night if you have not yet given her one.
...how much money do you have saved up, Soul?
If you're planning on staying in Goldenrod permanently, I believe a trip to the music store may yield a gift you could purchase for her.
She plays the bass.

i have PLENTY of money saved up, trust me.
nothing to spend any of it on until now after all, sides food and shit.
and i was thinking about that, yknow; scept if i get her a bass and we do travel id be ok with carrying it around for her or something.
no big deal.
but the other stuff, uh.
id be cool with her buying a bunch of stuffed animals. pretty sure theres a spot in the pc where she can put them if we have to move around, after all.
and if not, whatever, i'll carry them too.
any good movies you can think of?? i'm not really a cutesy movie kind of guy, so its not like I'D know what to pick.
rest of it doesn't sound too bad though, might have to try some of it.

Willing to carry her bass and enough stuffed animals to sink a ship whilst traveling by foot or Pokemon most times?
I do believe she may have found the perfect man.
Well, for her at least.
My apologies, Soul, but you simply cannot compete with mine.
;P
As for movies...well, I'm not quite positive on that.
All I've watched here are romantic comedies.
You could always ask the clerks as to good movies for kids?
Seeing as she really enjoys cartoons - or at least the Squiddles - I'm fairly certain she'd enjoy kid movies.
Unless you were able to procure "The Tentacools" or something similar that would likely be your best option.
You of course could also have her browse and choose as she pleases as well.

ahaha sure, i'll just go along with it i guess. i doubt john would even be ABLE to carry that much though, no offense.
though you know, i've seen a lotta pokemonified movies from my world here.
who's to say they don't got some weird version of her squiddles things here?
i could always check it out in a bit since its still early in the morning and all. and maybe if they've got it, i could finally see what she likes about it, i guess.
if not then whatever, i'll take her to the store and have her pick something out, like you said.

What he lacks in strength, he makes up for in sincerity and charisma.
Besides, if I really found myself with an overwhelming desire to obtain that many Pokemon dolls, I'm certain Elliot would be more than willing to carry them for us.
John may not be able to on his own, but he does have Pokemon at his disposal that are more than useful for such instances.
True enough.
It would be an interesting enough experience for you, I'm sure.

i'd say i have a pokemon for it too, but most of mine big enough are either stupid or stubborn. :T

what's that squiddles thing about, anyway? all i know is it's some weird old cartoon about squids.

Such is the curse of being a trainer.
You are in possession of Pokemon that could be useful, but refuse to be.

As for the Squiddles, it's really your average childrens programming.
A cartoon revolving around playful squids.
The main focus is of course on the morals all children should learn at a young age, being that of friendship and teamwork and how they are positive values all people should partake in.
There's also something involving a Skipper, however I paid little attention to the series myself.
I was simply more interested in the horrorterror aspect.

man i should have figured it'd just be a little kids show. john said it got kinda weird or something but i guess it's just john being
well, being john.

but whatever, i'll see if i can find something like it! and hey, if anything, we'll find something she likes.
thanks for the help, rose.

Oh no, he's completely correct.
It does get a little questionable.
Again though, I'm not really one to talk.
You'd be better watching it for yourself.

Of course.
Good luck, and do have fun.

Think nothing of it.
Also, while I have you here, expect a package to arrive soon.
It needs to be transferred via the Kanto-Johto mail, seeing as Pilcrow won't be able to merely fly to you any more.
It contains a scarf and set of mittens for Jade, as well as a souvenir from Saffron for her as well.
A late birthday gift if you will.
As well as a gift for you.

he can't? why not?
too far or something?

and that's cool; i'll keep my eye out for the mail then.
i'm guessing my gift's a surprise, right?

Turbulent winds, actually.
They're a tad too difficult for her to navigate through.
And yes, you're completely correct.
Though I'm sure you'll appreciate it.

damn. sounds like i'll have to use the kanto-johto whatever for your gifts too, huh?
isn't your birthday coming up too?

and that sounds cool to me. chances are i'll like whatever it is, though.
you know me pretty well.
