easy 10.5 hour shift

Things go so smoothly when I show up for life with the attitude of "what can a bring to the occasion" or "how can I be helpful today?"

Around 1220am Pags turned to me with a bright smile. "It's hard to believe millions of americans across the country are watching what we do right now. Some random dude in oklahoma has a satellite dish that is bringing in our work." We had been working for about 3 hours on a red sox game as it was happening, editing highlights for 4 different shows. The game ran over 4 hours long went back and forth, and the Tigers walked off with the win.

That was his first time having a game blow up in the middle of working on it. It is an awesome feeling to watch a sporting event unfold before your eyes knowing that whatever happens will need to air as soon as the game is over. There is drama , suspense and sometimes even water coolers being kicked around in frustration. We are searching for the best shots as they happen and piecing everything together mentally then physically.

I never really know what is going to happen when I wake up, but today I felt as if i was in the perfect flow of things... Present, focused, relaxed, happy and contributing to life. I am going to miss nights like this and it will be hard to start from scratch and meet all new people. But I have faith that if i show up with the right attitude it will develop into something as great or even greater than what I am currently experiencing as I finish the last few days of my job.
