[Action]

[See this kind looking little boy (thirteen; looks about ten?) with the bow and the eye patch here? Yeah, for once he's actually around town and is not being (visibly) followed by his soulphile. Though rest assured Sebastian is around to jack in if it comes to that ( Read more... )

[Boobs Fujiko accidentally backs into him in the item shop, also looking at various toys there, specifically searching for anything with lasers. She might have even picked up something from the Funtom Company unknowingly.]

Oh, whoa, sorry about that. This place is a lot more cramped than I expected. You all right? [And something else is quickly going away into her pockets.]

[As a boy without his balled dropped and from a Toboso series, boobs have no effect on Ciel Phantomhive. After all, every girl in the series except his fiancee and two lolis (one of which is canonically mannish) has tits up the wazoo. But that's beside the point.

The point is that he quickly tries to hide his irritation at the slight in the form of putting on a polite little neutral... grimace. Yeah he didn't work well] I am, thank you for asking.

[Though he did get knocked back a little. Curse of being so small]

[Sugar? Why would he need help with sugar, this is a bazaar. But okay]

Not particular, Ms. Mine.

[Poor Ciel. He'll never be able to catch up with her all slang and pop references.]

My, such a serious child. Are you sure you're not hurt?

Quite certain, though your concern is appreciated.

Oh good. So what are you looking for anyway? Or just browsing?

[She's very nosy.]

I was studying the toys which are in this world. Some of the techniques used in their creation might be applicable to my company's wares, after all.

Oh yeah? [Bounds up with curiosity.] Anything specifically?

The use of the material this is made of, for one. [And here, he hopes of a rather... generic plastic action figure]

Ah... plastic?

soulbait November 2 2010, 23:02:57 UTC
Indeed. I have never seen a material quite like this.

Huh. Yeah it's like metal as far as casting goes, but made from trees or something like rubber. Or resin. Oh! Or bone marrow or horns, like you know how they use it in jello? Err... gelatin molds... I forget if those were around a hundred years ago. But that's how it started, you know? In my time they use petroleum to make plastic, but they use that for everything.

Indeed? I suppose one cannot stop progress. [After all, it is an Age of Progress. But he says this with a small hint of irony as he goes back to examining the doll. He'll be dead long before those innovations, probably]

[Well, not all of them. The earliest plastics were a fake ivory introduced at the Fairs in London.]

Mm, you should see how they use them for space travel.

Space travel too? My, what a useful innovation it must have been.
