Tell me what you think of how I play this ho and give me advice and all that!
Note: Kuroshitsuji is really confusing for the US audience in terms of how the characters speak. The series is set in 1888 London so the characters should have British accents and/or use semi-archaic language, but both the majority of the sub-groups for the anime and most of the fan-translators for the manga have used shorthand common language where the Japanese was formerly rather formal.
This is particularly confusing for Ciel, because either way he is curt and insulting but when put into less formal tones he tends to use really casually shorthand words/phrases which don’t really fit the personality/character of an English nobleman. This is made even more complicated by the fact that the English release of the manga uses this archaic/British-ish diction as best they can. Thus, I’m going to do my best to simulate the English release and/or find a balance, but I just wanted that to uh, be a forewarning if you might be more familiar with/look up fan-done versions of the series.
