Austerity

Apr 24, 2006 13:03

For now, owing to sizable amount of time devoted to work, it's no longer easy for me to get along and watch what everyone else is watching, as I don't have time to watch TV or fansubs (I couldn't go any further than Blood+ 10 'cause I might screw up some kid's session of MU Online -_-; ). So things for this period is as good as having only plain bland oatmeal for breakfast.

Nor I am able to continue writing down the fanfics and original fiction stories that I have envisioned as worthwhile reading for fellow fans. At this moment, Eva: Light and Water and Steel Blossom and the Assassin (SBnA) are still on hold, as it may take some time for my audience to wait until I finally have the tools to go on where I left off back in 2004.

Which means the only free time I can only get between duties is to secretly check the mail for only half an hour.

Okay, let's see what else I have... 1. Old man wants to have his DVD+RW writer tested, so I have a nice 4.7GB platter ready for the job. 2. Yesterday's repair job actually took me 12 hours, and I have resigned to the fact that the customer's motherboard is officially dead. 3. Got to find out what caused one of the shop's machines to have its keyboard and mouse disconnect in the middle of a Counterstrike teamplay match. Must be the 'board's BIOS, so maybe an update will do the trick.

In other news...
Suburban LA County Pulls Manga Text from Libraries -- That sucks. It means there's always the Nanny State of America. -_-;

US Top 100 Graphic Novels Actual--March 2006 -- V for Vendetta comes up first bestseller, the next is... Fruits Basket 13 :D Damn, Tohru and the Souma boys can still knock well through!

Warning
Know the post I made about the site that uses YouTube for fansubs and licensed stuff? You'll be disappointed for the sequence errors it brings, and furthermore, Youtube does some periodic system maintenance to delete unused video clips.

You'll be better off watching anime directly from Youtube itself.

Updates: I've solved my problem trying to find my Marimite fix: Youtube... and www.keiichianimeforever.com has been destroyed, either by intarnets ninjas of death or by the Secret Service/FBI/DEA/NSA/MPAA.
