Boys Be on Big Two? Initial-D Live Action?
Rumors has it that ABS-CBN has acquired Boys Be, an anime romance/comedy/drama series that was last seen on AXN a few years ago. Well, if that rumor becomes for real, it would be good to see it once more (and to hear Aki Maeda's [Battle Royale, Saikano] OP/ED singing), but this time like most anime will be dubbed into Tagalog. However, optimistic I may be on Boys Be, I would want Marmite Season One finished first.
Also on the rumor mill is the live-action movie version of Initial D on Big Two (and Tagalized properly), based from the anime series beloved by drifting fans. If that also gets to be mentioned on the lineup, then it would be a welcome respite from the disaster that was Animax's rendition of Initial D: Fourth Stage. Yeah, I'd like to see Anne Suzuki (Sixth Sayoko, Snow Falling on Cedars, The Returner) again. :D
Um, there's one thing in common with the two Japanese actresses I've mentioned: they're Chiaki Kuriyama's costars in her previous TV and film excursions.
