I only noticed that there was no 13 on the elevator panel, but realized that the omission was out of superstition, but whether true or not, this number is skipped. The same thing occurs in some places where Chinese beliefs abound, except that the 4th floor is deleted (and multiples of 4, and any digit with the number 4 are taboo), as 4 is the number of death.
Spotted this typographic error. It's from an advertisement by Bandai Entertainment, on AI #66. I don't know whom they've hired, but despite the awesome titles they sell, the ad looks kitschy.
Some nights ago we had dinner at a very good Chinese restaurant, with fresh crabs, prawns and Lapu-Lapu. Since this is literally a superb menu arrayed before me, I said, "Why don't I have a beer with such an exquisite meal?" All told, I really enjoyed myself, and the same goes to my mother-in-law. No quite for my nephew and niece, who weren't able to finish the meal because they feel a bit more unused to their typical Western dinners.
