...Once the satellite at last got a target lock-on, it made a data downlink back to the dish farm on the ground, then the data snaked all the way down to the command bunker. Information immediately popped onto the main screen dominating the bunker.
"Confirmed target presence as pinpointed by satellite. Acquiring target coordinates for orbital laser cannon and prepare for firing sequence," the operator announced.
I gave him a nod and finally spoke to the bunker crew. "All right, people... looks like we have a bogey right within our airspace. But don't worry too much, it's just a new bird with the same old crew... and yet still can't shoot straight 'cause they're screwing up their lines too many times. I wish they were at least good as AXN back in the old days: anime subbed all the time."
Okay, they're throwing in all of Marimite for their win, but I'm not gonna buy it at all... It would've been okay if they actually have it subbed, instead of using the same in-house voice casting... Cripes.
