Isn't he a bit like you and me?

For those of you not in the know (which is apparently many of you, since the only people in my immediate sphere of existence who have gone with me on this fantastic voyage are Isaac and Simon) Animorphs is/was pretty much the best Young Adult sci-fi book series EVER WRITTEN. Even after the TV show sucked, the books lived on as excellent reading for ( Read more... )

YOU'RE MY NEW HERO! I have all the books in PDF on my harddrive, and my claim to fame aside from making this primer is sending said PDFs to Taking Back Sunday's tour guitarist, but that is not actually a claim to fame as Isaac could never be famous if he tried. He's too :D about everything.

But OMG LOOK AT ALL THE NANMIORPHS. <3 FRIENDS NOW?

That is adorable.

Uhhh... you wanna send me those PDFs? I collected nearly every Animorphs book ~in my day but I do not have them all.

YOU ARE AWESOME LET'S BE FRIENDS.

HERE YOU GO!

They're fan converted, so there's some typos and a few of them have some formatting issues, but they're all readable. Back ~in the day~ I only read as far as thirty-someodd, and then when I saw 54 I picked it up for completion's sake. Being able to re-read them as an "adult" (lulz) was AWESOME.

If you write this AU, I will LOVE YOU FOREVER, EVEN MORE THAN I ALREADY DO. If you need help with Andalite Lazzara, I am more than willing to help.

YAY FRIENDS YAY! I talk about TBS and EotC fanatically and obnoxiously, but I am sure I will be all over the obnoxious MCR talk as soon as they are back in action. I mean, someone has to talk about Ray/Frank. XD

In other news, Simon says "MY FANDOM JOURNAL." and I am like "OKAY FINE." so he is borrowedphrases and wants more friends.

WAHEY THANK YOU!

Yeah, I didn't read many of the 40s, I seem to remember they got kinda shitty in the mid-30s. I got 54 for closure, too.

I AM ALREADY WORKING ON A BUNCH OF THINGS D: Cirque du Soleil AU, bandom-at-Hogwarts AU, and possibly other things after that. But I will dig up the ol' Animorphs recast and see if I can put a plot to it!

I am really not well-versed in TBS lore at all. I feel like they're one of those bands that are SO AWESOME but I've just never paid any attention to them.

Yeah, there were definitely a few 'jumped the shark' moments later in the series, but it was still nice to read the entire series just once. All four of the Megamorphs are still solid, seriously good young adult books.

me too, man ;-; I am supposedly writing Cowboy AU, as well as actually writing (well, cowriting) Zombie Apocalypse fic. I should be writing the sequel to my bandom big bang BUT I'M NOT. Avatar: The Last Airbender AU. The list goes ON AND ON. Mostly all I can think about right now is the epic fic I am going to be writing for NaNoWriMo. It has prostitutes and closeted cops and.

I'm one of the weird kids in 'Bandom' where, aside from My Chem, my focuses aren't on the Fueled By Ramen stuff but on Long Island (only TBS and EotC) and James Dewees. I haven't written a fic in literally a year and a half that hasn't included James in some capacity. XD

My main squeeze has been My Chem for a long time, and the lack of MSI fic/fannish activity has only been softened by how amazingly internet active Jimmy and Chantal are. God, they are so amazing. I just wish Gerard and Lyn-Z were as friendly with the internet as Tour Crush are.

I've been pretty on-again-off-again with Panic fandom for a while, about a year and a half? I'm into FOB canon but rarely read fic. I'm also big on Cobra, though I rarely read CS fic either. I love fics about the dudes and their wives.

Amanda Palmer is basically my favorite person ever, though.

When did I turn this into A Story Of My Fannish Experience?

About the same time I did? This month marks my 3 year MCR Fandom-versary. I used to be big in the Green Day fandom, but now I just love the music. I am fucking stupid about TBS, and I am starting to write Envy into fic but I feel bad because I kind of know them, like, personally? :( So I feel a little bad about slashing them BUT THEY'RE SO GAY.

There is not nearly enough TBS fic, it's pathetic. They're so cute and gay.

I started loving Green Day when American Idiot came out (I was in seventh or eighth grade) but I really realized how epically fannable they are earlier this year. I went on a video binge and STILL want to read good Billie Joe/Gerard fics where BJ is all mentor-y and helps Gerard ~realize things and ~teaches him things. Or fics where they are just really hot for each other on tour. Or Frank/Gerard/BJ fics. IDK IT'S JUST SO OBVIOUS WHEN GERARD AND FRANK WERE INFLUENCED BY BILLIE JOE.

Idk Envy. I heard from my best friend who RPs with this girl who plays William Beckett and she, like, knows TAI and hangs with them when they're in town. Wtf? I have an LJ friend who is familiar with Empires and writes fic about them. Non porny fic, but fic nonetheless. It's so cute, though!

Yeah, I love Empires, too - but I'm mostly ignorant about the Chicago hipster scene. I recognize a few names that appear in conjunction with Empires but that's it really.

I wrote John Lennon/Billie Joe Armstrong/Frank Iero once. I am dead serious. And totally insane.

I have a friend who's pretty close to Andy Hurley. But she's not in bandom anymore. I only 'hang' with Envy in as much as when they show up at shows, they come over to us on the line for hugs. I mean, moving to New York and being of comparable age group, we're going to end up closer to them than that, I figure. But. That's apparently not stopping me from making their bassist the main character in my prostitute fic /o\

I really just know the Long Island scene, plus MCR and Green Day. Except I would challenge anyone to a Beatles trivia contest. I know more about the Beatles than is seemly.

HAHAHA OH GOD YOUR ICON!

I'm neither here nor there on him. He's a great drummer, I'll give him that. I'm not huge on Fall Out Boy at all. I like Patrick, I think he's cute. That's pretty much where I draw that line XD

A+ opinions. Yeah, my best friend thinks their latest album would not have been as good as it is without his drum skillz, but we are not fans of his, well, behavior. But that's a can of worms I a) don't really care about enough to discuss and b) are not relevant to your interests!

Oh man, today I was talking to my best friend about Ender's Game (she was explaining the series to me) and one of the rules of non-interference she described to me made me think simultaneously of the Prime Directive from Star Trek and Seerow's Kindness from Animorphs. And I also remembered "memms" from the Ellimist. Man, having e-mail in your head must be AWESOME.
