i yearn - more than anything - for some sincerity. but a part of me knows that the truth i desire is selective and therefore subject to restraints; i don’t want to get hurt, i don’t want to be told i’m not enough, and i don’t want to know that who i am isn’t something people might be interested in. i want honesty, but not so much that it pains me.
